Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th April - 8th April 2014]

Thought the Geordies were the bestest fans who never booed their own team or left before 90 Mins

Not sure where you heard that - we can boo with the best of them.

Although to be fair I'm not actually a Geordie.

Swap Chicho for Rooney obviously :p I'm talking about the 3 behind rather than the antiquated winger system which doesn't suit us in the slightest.

laughs - fair enough

Personally Nani hasnt proved anything for well over a year - vs Newcastle who currently are in a run of bad form, are the only games Nani should be playing in rather than vitally important games

Imagine applauding your team off after this run of results and perfomances. You pay your money to go to game, please feel free to boo and throw stuff at Pardew.

Ray Hudson commentating on the Barca game, go be entertained people.

epic

"The head’s up; the neck’s twisting like Linda Blair in The Exorcist. Wonderfully hit."
Ray Hudson, Atletico Madrid v. Besiktas, 8 March 2012

"Braver than a matador in a pink tutu he was."
Ray Hudson on Xavi being subbed off, Racing vs. Barcelona, 11 March 2012

"He stabs this with a beautiful rainbow, and a big pot of gold is waiting at the other end. Magical Eduardo. Albicelestial goal."
Ray Hudson, Atletico Madrid v. Besiktas, 8 March 2012

Ca$hley is to blame imo, since they sold Cabaye they have gone to ****

I dont even think he re invested that money as well he is just happy to sell his best players and stay alive in the EPL rather than push the team forward.

He wanted to go, so he had to go, otherwise he'd have gone for pennies in the summer. Pardew being tactically inept and Ashley being a knobber are not mutually exclusive. Cabaye is a big miss, and we have a lot of injuries but that is no excuse for the consistently dire performances since December.

Ohh dear, ohh dear, ohh dear. We had to win that one and we didn't, once again a lack of goals was our downfall. Don't understand Hughton's tactics at the moment, he plays Elmander and Hooper up front neither of whom are known for their pace or being particularly outstanding when the ball is on the ground. Yet he puts left footed Snodgrass on the right and a center mid(Hoolahan) on the left.

If you're going to put two big men up front you not only need two actual wingers to cross the ball in, but you also need to put players on the side where they can actually get to the byline and cross it in. Snodgrass has no right foot so can't do it on the right and Hoolahan is constantly moving to the middle because that's his natural area.

Now we're up **** creek without a paddle and there's a very high chance the biggest fixture's we'll be seeing next year will be the Old Farm Derby..

charlie adams a disgusting "player"

Chance of him being a Palace player next year? Pulis probably wants him but coming from Pool, his wages are likely quite high and Palace probably can't match them. Outside of Adam's Stoke are less bad(but not great) this year in terms of trying to kill everyone. Helps Stoke look less violent with Huth being injured though :p

I'd like Stoke a heck of a lot more without those two and with Pulis gone.

Very nice finish by Willian, Shawcross probably should have blocked it. This will only be Stoke's second loss in 10, 5 wins 3 draws 2 losses is not at all bad.
