Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 11th December 2019]

Incredible win for United you can see what it means to everyone. Just need to carry on winning now especially away from home.

Wan-bissaka a is a beast, is he usually this good?

Yes, can't question him defensively. doesn't offer much offensively though. We can allow that though.

Also, thank god Silva has his hair back. Looked like a right muppet without it.

Their players seem to like shaving their heads,

Twitter's 99% full of ****heads but at times like these it's wonderful. 30 odd minutes after the final whistle and the idiot City fan making the monkey gestures has been named and shamed and his employer is now being bombarded with tweets.

The internet is rather juicy at times. He'll enjoy work on Monday.

It’s pretty stupid to be so obviously racist when there’s so many cameras around. Absolute ****.

Watching it again, it looks like he's about to go full on arm motion, but suddenly his brain actually starts and he slows it down.

He will not be at work on Monday because he will be sacked. I know the company I work for would do that. I have seen people get the chop due to facebook posts etc.

Citys best chances came from AWB getting skinned by Sterling and him fluffing a clearance after being beaten...on his side. You can absolutely question him defensively.

He lost Otamendi on the corner that they scored from. De Gea should get that mind

I can only remember one time Sterling got past AWB one on one all game. AWB absolutely had him in his pocket for the entire game.

His one v one defending is very good thanks to his pace but positionally he can be all over the place. I can't remember many occasions he was beaten but the Jesus header in the 1st half, AWB was sleeping and played him onside and he had a headless chicken moment where he won the ball then gave it away twice in quick succession that led to the KdB chance that was deflected over. And then of course his poor marking/blocking for the goal.

He's a good defender but he's not a great footballer and if Utd are to challenge for the biggest honours they'll need to upgrade on him at some point.

Which is good but watching the video again there are 2 stewards looking at right at him when he was making the actions why didn’t they do something?

Football teams make the right noises after the event but why not do something there and then? Stewards too scared or too much of a fan?

Disappointing to see Sterling who has been so vocal about racism issues has been completely silent as soon as it is his club's fans doing it. Wasn't he calling for points deductions for teams a while back?

9 point deduction for City according to the man himself. Wonder if anyone will retweet that to him / Man City in the wake of yesterday's events?

They should do and see what he has to say about it. I mean he pipes up when it’s directed at him but so far hasn’t said anything about his own teams fans doing it.
I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see if he does mention it or if someone asks him outright what he thought about City fans doing it.

I don’t think waving his silly comment about points deduction at him is the way to go, it was retarded at the time and not very well thought out.

However, his complete inaction at the time when it was very clear what was happening, even if it was ‘only’ the objects being thrown says a lot about the character of the man. Numerous incidents recently he has not looked too sharp

This game has been ******* infuriating. Missed a sitter for the 19th time this season and Mings/management costing us a goal by not getting him off straight away.

It still baffles me why Smith persists with Wesley. Absolutely dreadful player. One touch from what I've seen and it started off the Leicester goal.

Why he's kept Konsa and Elmo in the team with Guilbert and Engles available boggles my mind as well. Lost count how many times Elmo has literally just given them the ball back when we're in the last 1/4 of the pitch.
