Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th May 2016]

This is where the offside rule sucks balls. The entire defence and the keeper both reacted and played to the offside player, had he not been there Son had absolutely zero chance to beat defenders to that ball or the keeper.

Still, play to the whistle and the keeper looked like he was still expecting a whistle to come, didn't commit himself or go for the ball hard then when he realised he was screwed did a hilarious dive trying to reach the ball.

Agreed (), the way the rule is makes it so risky for defenders to try and play 1 player offside because if he doesn't become active they could be ****ed.

Painfully slow to go down, maybe he was expecting more of a deflection so didn't want to go down early but meh. May as well commit and be completely beaten by a deflection than delay and miss the easy to save initial shot.

Both goals could so easily have been prevented by Lloris today.

Spurs have been utter and complete dross.

lol, how can there be only 5 minutes? They stopped for longer than that for a sodding water break.

Big big win for us, 3 points left for grabs against Palace, if teams around us bottle it like West Ham did this weekend we might actually have a half decent chance at inheriting a European place again

Edit, though just noticed West Ham play Utd. Not sure which way works best for us really, probably a Utd win

Yeah need a United win I think as can not see united losing both thier matches left.

Im just soo happy we beat Spurs tbh to worry about anything else as they are the 1 team I just cannot stand all due to them singing when the Spurs go matching in. I can forgive them for taking players and managers but not a song :-)
