Did the commentator really just say it was 'Steven Gerard's' Day ?
I laugh about it half time with mates calling him Slippy G, it was an absolutely hilarious thing to happen if you don't support Liverpool. Still a bit sad how certain special clubs are more concerned about Gerrard though than their own team

They are not concerned. Due to the fixture list the first time the Chelsea fans have been able to give him stick.

Not the worst performance but our lack of fire power showed again. Neville made the point on commentary when Ibe skinned Luis and Matic(?) but then tried to beat another rather than play the killer pass/shot, we lack a killer instinct in attack. Hopefully the likes of Sterling, Ibe and Coutinho can add that to their game because the potential in those 3 are huge.
Loved Gerrard's interview. The applause from the Chelsea fans couldn't have been more forced and fake. The reception he gets next week is what'll matter to him and luckily enough my brother's sorted me a couple of tickets out for that game too.
I mentioned last pre-season I think, he's got the potential to be better than Sterling. He's more powerful and has a great strike on him too, he needs to be smarter though. Too often he makes the wrong choice in possession and is too honest for his own good, not getting fouls he should be getting because he refuses to go to ground.

If Gerrard hadn't had his big on pitch moment at the end of one of the previous games saying "we will not let this slip" etc. then people wouldn't have latched onto it quite so much.

Not that I have any issue with people finding it hilarious, outside of my loyalty it is pretty damn funny whilst also tragic. I'd be the first to laugh at anyone else.
I wouldn't be singing about them at every match, especially not when it actually had no bearing on my team winning anything or making laminated cards. Its fine, at least I only heard one rendition of 'always the victim' today, bit of an improvement for that lot
Gerrard didn't look happy to be coming off did he... He's been a pro long enough to be able to ignore abuse from fans. Brendan is an idiot.
Don't even think it was about the abuse, it sounds like Brendan had the mind set, oh Gerrard needs to come off to his applause, **** that there was a game to win =/
