Great :D.

How long do you think it will run games well before it will need upgrading?
Cheers
:)

EDIT: for some reason I thought you buying an i7 setup :/ you might be considering upgrading within 12 months IMO to play the latest games at a decent resolution

Welcome to OcUk Chiives.
The difference will be chalk & cheese mate don't worry just enjoy & don't be a stranger on these here boards. :)

You can probably run most things in compatibility mode and get away with it. If you can't you can always install a second OS on a different partition, it's not the end of the world :)

It'll be a big upgrade.

Also, if you're still playing on that old system then this new one should last you a long while because you appear to be like me and don't mind sacrificing quality for longevity ;)

And what marc said, the few old games that haven't worked for me on Vista out the box worked in compatibility mode with XPSP2.
