Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Greggs just found a reason splash on even more GPU power!

interesting!
I would still prefer a larger screen but it's a price step in the right direction

still waiting for news on the 39 inch Asus but they are now saying 1H 2014 (which is the same as they are saying for additional Gsync models so at least it's also a step closer to confirming that rumour)

Give it a couple of years for them to become mainstream and we will be picking them up for £300.

Lets hope GPU's can keep up

Rather have 60hz+ IPS 1440P than TN 4K 30hz.

4K is a long way off being a standard yet, decent affordable screens aren't gonna be around for a long time yet. When they are we can probably get them from Korea and save a fortune :p

I'm not interested in 4k, gaming or film.

4k TV's - little content available.

4k gaming - as good as it sounds think of the kind of hardware specs that are needed to get decent fps at 4k...have to see what Maxwell brings!

Came to thread expecting something about the bakers.. Arrived disappointed! :p

But yeah, saw this too, very good price on 4K, definitely a distant future purchase (along with another couple of GPUs!)

While the hardware required to run this will be too much, it will bring down the price of the resolutions currently in between 1440p and 4k, hence why i am excited for those 21:9 screens, which are playable with Crossfire 290's (maybe not for some mega high FPS people but certainly enough for me, also gives me an excuse to buy a 290x...mmmm tastey).

Apart from those Titans, anyone buying them when they came out will now realise with hindsight what go value they are.:D

@ £850 good value? i would rather have a 6GB 7990 thats faster and half the cost, or wait for the 8GB 290X ;)

I challenge you to a game of Skyrim @4K with lots of mods.:D

A £400 card that does not run is far worse value than a £800 card that does run.:D

Hahaha and I am up for that as well. Skyrim was chucked at 2GB Nvidia users relentlessly but I would happily take the Skyrim challenge with any of the CF users :p
