if a don could kindly make this a poll.

me and some mates were arguing about it

Peters or Greggs bakery, from what ive heard peters is a north east thing so many of you may not have a clue

i say peters :)

I never dared to enter Peter's it's Greggs all the way (I'm from Sunderland). As for their popularity all I can say is that we have 2 Peters' in city centre and 5 or 6 Greggs.

I like the chicken, bacon and lettuce subs from Peters but Greggs do better cheese and onion pasties. Peters seem to over spice everything to the point that you can't taste the food.

Never go to Peters.

Greggs for sausage rolls, steak bakes and soft cheese and ham buns

Bakers Oven for chicken and bacon bagettes :D They're yummy!

That suprises me because they were on the local news a lot a few months back when their main factory was burnt down.

Editted :o

Couldn't think of one at first, then thought of one and then I was just silly :o

Far from being classed as Northern (though my Southern mates insist that technically I am), but Greggs is a legendary shop offering value for money. A while back, I could wander in and purchase a whole shelfs worth with only the shrapnel in my pocket.

Greggs and their steak bakes, sausage rolls are ok, but too many and I start to feel ill:)

Only noticed Peters Bakers in Sunderland, but never go there;)

Ham and cheese melts are where it's at. Clearly. Even the vegetarians would be tempted to the dark side.

everything in greggs is yellow. it all looks the same. i dont like greggs much at all

peters do much better pasties. and bakers oven do the best sandwiches.

greggs is the worst out of all the highstreet bakers up here.
