So there's no thread about Grey Goo, an real time strategy from some of the developers of the original Command & Conquer games. Released today, has anyone got it? What do you think of it? It's got a £30 price tag on Steam and the videos don't convince me that it's got enough content to pay that price. I don't know enough about the gameplay

Was looking at it earlier. Really like RTS games, especially SC2 so was thinking about getting it. But yeah, £30 is a bit much, if it was £10-£15 I would have gotten it a while ago.

Glad I seen this post as I was going to post my own, this was an instant buy for me going from reviews, people saying its like a mix of the c&c games and starcraft 2, got it downloaded last night and will hopefully be enjoying it soon, PC RTS is somewhat lacking currently imo

TotalBuscuit has a 30+ minute review/gameplay of it on his YouTube channel if you wish to see what its like, seen the first 5 mins so far, I'm tempted but not sure as yet.

tbh it's a good game.

I'm not a fan of the base building style. You start with a main base and can build 4 attachments (refinery, factory etc) then you can build 4 types of satellite bases but you have to start with the smallest that can have 2 attachments, up to the largest that can have 6.

It can be a little challenging at times, and hard really means hard but well worth a try :)

Really enjoying it so far. Love the C&C Tiberium Wars vibe from this game. It definitely deserves more attention as it seems to have completely slipped under the radar (If it wasn't for this thread, I most likely would not have bothered with it).

Saw it on Steam earlier, looks quite entertaining. Might get it when its on sale as I doubt I'd get enough from it at full price. Not really playing enough atm.

does this game actually have a campaign ? or is it supposed to be aimed at competitive multi-player ? which is not for me

From the vids I have seen, it seems to have a pretty good campaign.

I think it looks great and will definitely pick it up in a few weeks time if I can find a good price.

Is £30 really that expensive? If you get 20-30 hours out of it over time it's nothing. I think it's reasonable if the product is well done.

I think i'll buy it myself as it seems really polished.

Spotted this and thought great then was a bit disappointed at lack of everything really. Gone are the days of getting lost on the campaign playing mission after mission and lots of buildings with uses and so few units. First I thought 15 mission per faction that’s not too bad until I got told it was five for each faction. No point buying it just now as I don’t have a rig to play games till later in the year so will wait and see what Act Of Aggression is all about. AOA looks my kind of game, less futuristic and more units and base building.
