Hi,

I'm not sure if this needs to be posted in the monitor or graphics card section but i'm hoping someone can help me.

I just purchased the Aurora MkII system from overclockers (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-277-OK) upgraded the memory to 8 gig and the SSD to 40 gig. I also bought a new monitor AOC 2236 from a local computer store. At first everything was working fine but in the past week I have seen faint grey lines running horizontally across the screen. Sometimes they flickers and others they just move up and down.

First thing I tried was swapping the monitor to see if that was the problem. I swapped it onto a friend's PC (he has the same pc we bought them at the same time) and he had the same problem. I swapped an older monitor back on but the problem also happened on this and another monitor as well. So all in all 4 monitors have had the same problem which leads me to believe there may be a problem with the GPU instead. The only thing that baffles me is that the monitor has the same problem on another pc, but we both have the same GPU so maybe that is the issue instead. When I put his monitor (HPw2007v) onto mine I don't get any issues at all.

Does the AMD HD690 have any known issues? Does the GPU have any specific monitor requirements, i.e. do I need to be using a specific type? The AOC monitor has a VGA output which i'm converting to DPI with an adapter. Ive also tried swapping cables and adapters around and that hasn't fixed it. I can't see how 4 monitors can have the same effect. Is there a reasonably priced monitor at 20" upwards that anyone can recommend which could fix the problem?

Any help would be appreciated as it's making my gaming experience miserable :(
