ok, i just did the counterstrike stress test and i sucked :S

i have a conroe6600 and a bliss 7950GX2 (and new everything else)

i got an average frame rate of 59.6 at high everything :o

my friend had a 7800gtx and got an average of 106.....

whats wrong with my machine??? :S

please help :(

Drivers are always a favorite culprit, you have them for chipset and graphics yes? Is this a fresh install of XP or a repair/old install? You sure your friend is using the same settings as you?

Try running some of the 3D Mark versions and list your scores (including the seperate graphics and CPU scores).

Have you enabled SLI in the driver?

how do do that?

forno- i have the same as the first pic on that link, but ic ant even find the bit that the second picture shows :s

and i dont think my mobo is on that list... i have a Asus P5W DH Delux

and everything is fresh install.

hi, i am the friend and we are both running max settings on 1600 x 1200,

i suggested drivers, what version drivers are people useing?

i see you have the same mobo grfx and cpu as me, and yours runs fine?

iv tryed to use the update the bios using asus bios uodate, but it says there are none...

i dont know what else to do :( i have the latest drivers, iv set it to mulitiGPU.....

Sounds as if you have V-Sync on, i didnt have v-sync on and i scored 75fps with my X1900XT-X, then i realised i had temporal anti aliasing on which forces v-sync on, turned temporal AA off and got 176fps on the next run.

Maybe turn off if its on the equilvalent or Temporal AA.

Download the latest bios first then run it from asus update from disk.

Download the latest 91.47 drivers

ok, i turned vsync of, and got an average of 156.56 in stresstest.... this is a lot better.... but what do other people get with there 7950's? is this normal?

You no what v-sync does right?

Your score seems about right to me, i get 176 with a X1900XT-X. 1280x1024.
