Grid 2

hotspot sheild works.

didnt play in offline mode, only had one race on SP though.

the game will lock again next time i go on the pc

Aye but grid2 requires steam to be online and connected to play MP. Boooo

Anyway of playing MP on your own IP once unlocked through vpn?

Not sure on that one, as for the VPN to play early or at the correct time we should be able to play depending on how you see it, done it a few times in the past, if anything it lets you get to grips with the game itself (interface/tuning etc) in SP and then once its offically released i usually start a new profile anyway, but with the knowledge of the game and so on its easier etc.

just uploading video of first race will add in minute on ultra settings.

got 60 fps solid on highest settings (ati 7950 1100/1575)

my steering wheel was instantly recognized and no real issues playing.

I notice on Steam there's already DLC, does that mean you can't unlock those features in the game and they must be paid for?

What do you think of the GFX engine?

Grrr really hate staggered release dates, quite a few of my racing buddys are americans and they are enjoying it, even with VPN's still cant join them till Thursday at midnight, but my progress would be close to theirs if i did...:(

Just had a quick go until the VPN had a fit and then so did Steam so will wait until friday.

It's ok nothing more. I wish I had waited until cheaper as for £26 I feel a little ripped off. It's like Grid but with dirt showdown mixed in.

The graphics are ok some low res textures it feels very console. The handling is the usual steer in the middle every car feels like a forklift type.

Luckily they have gotten rid of the "Post your video on youtube" instead the game is now based around Youtube likes so tbh is even bloody worse.

On my 780 @ 2560x1440 every option at max it locked happily at 60fps. I imagine you would be able to do this on most decent cards it does no seem a very demanding game tbh.

It feels like I'm playing Dirt showdown on road tracks but I only did a few races so hopefully it might get better.

Will see on Friday.

why ? you basing it on those xbox reviews? :p

also grid is grid did you expect a different game ? codemasters make these kinda games. if you want a sim type approach play a sim game.

This sums it up for me. Was not expecting a racing Sim but the game is no Grid by far. It feels cheap.

Grid 2 is a radical, over-simplified departure from everything that made the original Grid a fantastic arcade racer, and virtually none of the design choices should have made it past early brainstorming sessions. While the game itself is quite polished for what it is, and the driving model is a fantastic balance between approachable and intuitive, the game constantly fails to impress during key moments, and is only a mere shadow of what it could have been.
