Erm sooo this is the new cockpit view is it -

that to me looks like the cockpit mod from GRID 2 over on the PC. what a total joke..

I'll be skipping this. GRID 2 was bad and this is just GRID with a few more pieces, the rest made shinier. (Or worse if you look at cockpit cam.)

The game indeed has a blurryfied in car view. Wouldn't bother me tbh. I thought Grid 2 was ok, it had some sp difficulty balancing issues imo, i.e. some races were excessively difficult but overall is a lot of fun and has nice gfx.

Edge review up. It's a good read. Back to basics for Codemasters and it looks like they've succeeded. 9/10 has me a lot more interested than I was before!

I've played it a fair bit over the weekend and it really is back to basics which I'm pleased to see (hopefully they'll take the same stance on any future rally game)...

I'm not sure if it's a 9/10 though as there isn't much in customisation but I'd certainly give it a strong 8/10.

Race difficulty seems pretty mixed with some being fairly easy and some allowing no room for error..

Overall really goof but wish they had done a PS4 version!

Yeah I'm surprised no next gen version.

I used to rate Codemasters and loved all the racing games they put out - CM 1-4 and the TOCA games were such great games. They lost me with Grid - couldn't get used to the handling and I'm not a fan of drifting - and I passed on G2 with no cockpit. I loved the rallying in Dirt but the other stuff I hated so I kind of gave up on that. I gave up on the F1 games after being disappointed by F1 2010.

The feedback they're getting is positive so I hope they stick to this kind of thing in the future. I would still like a proper cockpit view though.

Played this for the first time since I bought it a few months ago and the AI is a joke.
Touring Cars level 3, fending Ravenwest on Brands Hatch for 7:30 and on the second-to-last corner they just punt me off. Watching the replays they just nail it on the inside and **** me over.

I can't be bothered playing it if I'm honest if that's how it's going to be. It's a complete waste of time if I fight for the lead all race just to be punted off into the gravel at the second to last corner :mad:
