Grid Crashes

Pardon the pun with the title,

I have loaded grid and it keeps crashing. ive installed patch 1 and 1.2 and it still keeps crashing on the first load screen. im using xp anyone know the proper fix for this

Had similar problem running on an ATI 4850, but seems to have gone away since Catalyst 8.12 driver's.

Only other thing I can think of is if you've OC'd your rig? Could also try reinstalling the game

I will go in tonite ad take the game off and re install, the rig hasnt been overclocked so far.

I had many problems with grid crashing running vista 64 but now it runs fine...i installed windows 7 64 bit and the problems went away....never tried grid with xp though.

What is windows 7 like i know its in Beta but how buggy is it just now?

Im considering slaping it on one of my spare drives and using ut, i need to break away from xp and fancy 7

Does anyone know the basic Req's for W7? also how will drivers be compatible?

I love windows 7, no driver problems here and so far my system has been very stable..Q6600 and 4870x2...and i can play grid again

I have 8 8800gt gfx if i went and got windows 7 (beta) what drivers would i download?
