Does everyone use manual gears and all driving assists off?

I am using manual gears, traction control on and the other assists off, break is the right analogue stick back, accelerate is right analogue stick forward and I'm useless, always coming last, crap at breaking etc....

server usually decides assists, whether they are forced i dont know, i prefer no assists, i also prefer manual, though a few people like full assists and auto box, and some, if able to, adjust depending on game mode

I have auto gear and all the assist on

its impossible to play on keyboard if you turn the assists off :S
