I quite like the way Need For Speed games work -ie, arcadey and unrealistic, GRID looks real nice, does it handle the same sort of way?

$40 on steam seems decent...

Also, quick spec check..

8gb, q6600, 8800gt ko, 1290x1024

assuming it'll run perfectly on that?

Will run maxed out with loads of eye candy and (mostly far) above 50 fps at all times on that spec.

It's quite arcadey with all the driving aides on, it comes close to realism with the driving aides off.
It's VERY similar, almost exactly like Toca race driver 3 with the aides on...
Have you tried the demo ?

Ive pretty much completed the game using my G25 (4 more Drift Events to go) and had a lot of fun, I would imagine as long as you have a decent Analogue pad for steering and Throttle/Brake it will be just as much fun. Clutch on the G25 isnt used at all, but you can map all the buttons to ingame commands. :)

i just installed the demo, cant afford to buy atm so rther them wait figured i'd hop on ove to gamershell since the demo isnt up on steam.
when i saw codemasters ... the 1st thing i thought was I hope this isnt just a retextured toca3, cant wait to give it a go in a sec... so caio for now :D

[EDIT]
looks like will have to wait till payday for steam purchase, damn demo wont run, hope the full version will actually start! tried all the tricks on the interwebs but no launch - and sure as hell aint uninstalling KIS! :(

Personally I think it is probably the most unrealistic racing game I have ever played and the only thing that it has going for it is the graphics.

Have you never played Flatout, trackmania, TDU, Burnout, NFS and GTA games  ?
Espcially need for speed, eg pro steet is as arcady as it goes for a game that ''tyes'' to look serious.
Anyways turn driving aides off and you have understeer, oversteer, spinning @ full throttle and losing control of the car on even a minor touch with another car.

haha downloading pc demo as we speak, but only have mouse and keyboard and if i like it enough i might spend abit on steering while as i have played the xbox360 demo and thought it was pretty good.

Lol it's pretty much the same as toca RD3, and I remember a thread from ages ago where people defended Toca against Gran Turismo, saying toca was the more realistic one XD. The clueless people :D.
