    hi their, currently at college we're going through practical networking. i'm needing to find out if their is a way to add a trusted site to a user account when he/she logs on?
    also is it possible to change the default http:// page that loads when the user logs on?

    well, I'll answer part 2 of the question... :)
    load up the group policy editor, click user configuration, click windows settings, and all the settings you are after for IE are under Internet Explorer Maintenance

    :D

    {edit}
    for the first part of the question, is this what you're looking for?
    gpedit.msc again>
    computer configuration > administrative template > windows components > internet explorer > internet control panel > security page
