Growing up in the city

The only time I have ever felt that a city is too much is when in the City. Otherwise, city living is so much more convenient. I live walking everywhere:

25 mins to work
10 minutes to bars, parks, clubs, supermarkets and shops.
No need for a car.

Perfect.

There is a lot to be said for the suburbs. I've always lived in South Bristol and 15 mins north and I'm in the centre of the city, 5 mins south and I'm out in the sticks.

I like both options.

1) The very built up areas with high rise flats, warrens of streets and back alleys, although I've never lived in these parts I spent a lot of time round them as a kid with friends, on bikes, just riding around, usually getting into trouble :) I feel at home here.

2) Out in the open, away from the city, out fishing, long bike rides, camping etc. I feel at home here too.

I want the best of both worlds :)

The only things i miss about not living in a city is the lack of choice and convenience but once you get over that, meh it doesn't matter.

Only thing that worries me is the hospital is a 45 min trek to instead of 3 mins around the corner....Should anything happen :P

I wouldn't like to live anywhere much smaller though, especially not rural. Its nice here 5 mins to the forest/wilderness and 10 to town centre
