Iv been playing wow for less than an hour and started getting really laggy checked my fps it was down to 6fps so I restarted the client and it was the same I am usually sat around 40-50fps without problems so I have rebooted computer and still the same issue so I have checked my Temps and my grphx card is sat at idle at 60oc.

I have a Radeon 7950 HIS Iceq the fans are a little noiser than usual but the rest of the systems seems cool enough cpu temps are at 30oc

I cleaned the fans from dust about 3 days ago and have had no problems til today

Im not sure to be honest :S iv turned it off for the last 25mins and temps still around 55oc on idle its saying speeds are core clock 300mhz mem clock 150mhz vid volt 0.950v according to real temps that is

Temperature wise I don't think it sounds too bad, I remember my old 7950 reference being about 50c at idle, and it's a pretty hot day today.

Regarding the clocks. Those are the 2d clocks, does it do that in game as well, if they don't increase to 3d clock speed like 950MHz/1250 or whatever they are, then that would account for your lag.

There are probably ways to fix it if you are stuck in 2d mode.

Mine is currently idling @ 52Celcius with two screens (is 35 Celcius roughly with 1 screen), although my clocks are at 500Mhz because of the two screens also... If you're running with one screen then those idle temps are pretty high!

Is the fan definitely running? Download MSI afterburner and monitor max temp and GPU speed while in game for 5 minutes... and See if it's rising to the standard 850 (925 with boost I think).
