Grrr Help!!

GF in her infinite wisdom has decided to buy me a new mobile and pay for the contract ( up to £35 pcm ) for my b'day. I'm leaning towards ip4 on the 3 one plan which gives 2000 mins and all you can eat data ( truly uncapped )

As a "deal" I think the plan is pretty hard to beat but obviously I know there's a raft of new models out around or just after my b'day ( mid march ) does anyone think the SGSII will be available on anything remotely comparable or like most occasions will we see £200 upfront + £45 pcm contracts ?

help,ideas,suggestions, inspiration all welcome

oh and I'm no fanboi for either apple / android / any other o/s simply want the best phone for the pennies

one thing that does sway me towards ip4 is it's resale value, androids drop like bricks where as even the 3gs has retained it's value pretty well

What if you break up? Why doesn't she just give you £840.

I remember there being a thread where this created a problem.

SGS2 will be free on £35 x 24 contracts at the most expensive end. No android phone has been above that yet afaik (obviously more expensive tariffs exist, but that isn't my point).

worst comes to the worst I either take over the contract or hand over the phone either way it's hardly life or death and I'd be more gutted over losing her tbh.

right looking like I'll hold out and hope the SGS2 launches by mid march and compare contracts, the all you can eat data is a killer, really cba going down the smartphone route if I can't make use of 3g willy nilly
