GSC Closed - STALKER 2 Cancelled

Probably already mentioned, but GSC and 4A were/are both signed to THQ, right? How great would it be for 4A to be given the task of resurrecting Stalker 2, and perhaps hiring several former GSC people (along with those few they've already got)! ...Either that or the stuff GSC had gets freely released and ignites some awesome new mods!

A Stalker fan can dream...
 
This is a real shame :( I remember seeing STALKER during my first year at uni as one of my flatmates had it. Absolutely fantastic games.

I've completed SoC and Clear Sky, only got Pripyat left. Really immersive games, with great mods too :) At least we have Lost Alpha to look forward to. Since it's a standalone game and not a mod, it's even better!

I have never felt so involved in a game until I played SoC.

Saying that I think I will have to reload it and play it again but with mods. Last time I played it I had an ATI x1950 pro gfx with a dualie AMD cpu but now I have much more power I can run the game in max....

Now where did I put the install disc????:D

Totally agree. Im in no way a Stalker expert-player but this was one game that HONESTLY transported you to another place.

And guess what - it did it without hyper-real graphics! Its a lesson in atmospherics...in some ways the SOUNDS made this game. The haunting baying you hear at night...wow...a real pity if its all gone now.

Hope a rescuer comes out of nowhere with some $$$$
 
Makes me think I should try and play Stalker CoP just once, I have it on Steam but have never played it.
