Got my drive in my machine (its my boot drive C) now I am running Win7 rc and want to put the retail copy on it. Want to firmware flash to the latest.
First off how do I do that? Do I do it in windows? and do I need to do that trim thing also?
 
First off, don't do anything yet. Latest Firmware (with TRIM support) is not out yet. It will be called version 1819 and is expected in the next couple of weeks. No-one knows if it will destroy data or not in the process. So, my suggestion is to wait, update firmware and install Win7 (clean install). TRIM will be implemented automatically.

Same boat here.
