GSkill Trident Overclocking on Ivy Bridge

I ve removed the heatsinks (top fin)from the memory so i could install the phanteks cooler. There are two stickers with serial numbers on them that say warranty voided if removed but says nothing about removing the red top. Where did you read that it invalidates the warranty, it would be kind of weird as they are advertised as Ready & Removable Top Fin. Unless you were talking about removing all the dim external casing leaving it naked ?

May i beg you to create a screenshot with Memtweakit showing the subs just running at stock DDR3-2400 XMP profile ?

I got sets of G.Skill 1xSniper/1xRipjawsX which got the 0240 in the PN as well.

So they should have the same Hynix ICs as your TridentX modules.

It would be helpful to know what they run at stock 2400 XMP Profile.

They run 2400 but i have not got em SuperPI stable yet on my M5G.

Thanks in advance.

Hi mate. I am not at home at the moment I am at a Body Power exhibition in Brum. I will Tune you a 2400mhz profile when I get home and let you have that. My Trident X are the 2666mhz kit. The 2400 mhz Kit are Samsung IC's. At 2400mhz at a guess with Hynixwill be talking 9-11-10- 25 1T, possibly Cas 10. Mode 2, then 7, 96, 10360,10,6,26,6,5,8 down the BIOS. With DRAM latency boundary at 2 or 3. Transmitter Slews 4,4,5,5. Test for stability if unstable move up the boundary and. or CAS. Lower latency boundary = better perf. This will be a fast and tuned profile mate.
