GSync premium

^^ You do realise that Freesync currently only works with AMD cards don't you???

Presumably you're playing with just 'normal' Vsync then if you never see screen tear. I have to ask, why on earth would you buy a top end Nvidia card, and a very decent gaming monitor, that don't make the most of each other's features?

Screen tearing isnt always that visible even without vsync on. So his point was he doesnt use any kind of sync and he is happy with the end result. I use to play BF4 with 300+ fps on my 144hz without vsync or gsync and i prefered that because input latency went way down or atleast it felt like it did. Was such a treat to quickscope with

Lets face it despite how good it is, its overpriced.
What ever could make you think G-Sync is over priced....:D

Out these two monitors the G-Sync version only costs £360 more...:p

Predator X34 34" 3440x1440 IPS G-SYNC WideScreen Super-Wide ZeroFrame Curved LED Monitor £949
Predator XR341CKB 34" 3440x1440 IPS FREESYNC WideScreen Super-Wide Curved LED Monitor £589

g-sync is overatted overpriced and overdue to be replaced.besides the monitors using it are all bad qc so its a lose lose scenario

You have obviously never seen gsync in action.
Overpriced yes but everything else your very wrong.

Dell and AOC have gsync monitors with great QC so again I don't know what your on about.

I think the G-sync tax is eventually going to be the death of it. When theres two standards doing the same job, only one will survive in the long run and it's usually the cheapest.

New cards are coming around and a lot of people will make the switch to AMD, simply because it's cheaper and gives similar performance.

Nvidia really aren't helping themselves either by purposely using an outdated version of display port, to stop people using activesync/freesync monitors.

Do Nvidia even talk much about G-Sync these days? Maybe they are just going to let it die and Freesync take the reigns... seems that's inevitable in the long run.

Have to say that in my experience, Gsync is worth every penny. Games are smoother on my X34 with gsync than they were on my dell 1400p despite the resolution increase.

Is it expensive? Yes.

Is it worth having? Hell yes.

I'd say this with a caveat...it depends on the game, and it isn't a replacement for higher framerates. You still don't really want to dip below 60fps, and <55fps still feels pretty shabby.

I have to disagree with that. 40FPS an above is perfectly smooth with freesync/Gsync. I really can't tell the difference between 40 and 60 FPS on my X34.

Dell are bad QC? Come back when you have a clue what your talking about. My X34 is excellent and myself and many others love them

Well, Dell's monitors usually have better QC than others. But theres still issues with their G-sync one, it's also not covered by their pixel perfect warranty like all their other high-end panels (which says it all).
