Hi folks whilst I had no plans for starting any other projects until Silver Ghost was finished I got an email from EK waterblocks in January asking me to pick all the stuff I would need to build inside their new limited edition Vulture Case, Obviously this was way to exciting to pass on and that was never ever a thought so I got to thinking about what would look nice in the case............

Just love the red and grey thing so we are going to try and get in the zone with the colors and with the Case being so dam sexy In my mind they are well matched.

So this arrived last Friday:

The Case Is Made from 3mm Aluminum held together with 8mm M4 CS bolts and is a fantastic bit of kit this is of no doubt long before you have started to build in it.

Inside next

And the much talked about curve :)

And next the Cooling or most of it as I am minus the 360mm Rad but that will be here very soon

And Massive thanks to MSI for supporting this project with some hardware :)

The Specs :
CPU: Intel 4690k
M/B: MSI Z97I GAMING ACK
GPU: MSI Titan Black
RAM:Yes it will defo have some of that ;)
PSU: Corsair HX850i
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

Cooling by EK with all of their latest Blocks fittings rads and the new Vadar fans.

That is all for now the case panels have been acid dipped to remove the powder coating and we be getting re coated in a grey as to be honest the cost alone of the Paint to match the car was out of the question when I can powder coat it for so much less and will be much more durable for taking to a LAN so the next update will be when the RAD arrives and we can get to the loop this is a very simple and easy project. the case itself has been designed to make the loop easy for the beginner or lots of fun for the more experienced out there and will be as ever done with rigid tube this time its EK's own one rather than my usual E22 but I am told its very nice to work with Ill get to bending some this weekend bye for now :)

oooh ITX pron, subbed :D

I just had a Nerdgasm :D

Subbed for sure, Red and Grey sounds ace.

The case looks great, is there a filter for the front though?

Looking forward to this.

Thanks guys Red and Grey has been on my mind ever since I got into more serious builds/mods so this seemed perfect .
No filter this is a Prototype case and the guys who EK have picked to work with it kinda all knew that we might have to over come a few little issues but I am certain I have some spare ones about the place.

Lots of updates with this in next few days as its a fairly simple one really all about bringing the colors together and enhancing the looks of the sexy case :)

The case looks fantastic. I'm surprised they didn't go for MATX though.

Yes I think the reason would be the window looks so nice with the GPU just behind it with the curve going on.

I know it would be easy enough to make the case MATX, I am not certain but I think I did hear one of the other Chaps who have the case say that it was something they might do.

I did not really want to change the structure of the case just the colors and the finish of the coating the texture is very much like the EK PE rads but now its glossy Anthracite Grey that you will be seeing in the next very soon to happen update :)

as always you will do a great job with it, but im not keen on the case's aesthetics, but thats just my opinion. :)

Hey thank you nice comment for my Sunday morning I will do by best to make it as clean and sexy as I can.

One thing is certain you will not be seeing any turbo gauges or bits of cars stuck in the case. I am using the color scheme and the racing style decals from the car and a few little things that will tie it all in together :)

The Big Update

Hi again folks its took a few weeks to get back with the 1st update as I have been busy with building some PCs for friends and some Clients but got a lot of pics and a you can now see how the loop will fit inside.

The 1st thing to be done was get the case powder coated grey and get the vinyls made so with the case being number 09 and the theme being based around the car I have used the 09 as part of a racing livery if you like.. I will be adding a few more not on this back panel just a few small ones here and there so here we are with some pics ..

The Titan Black with block

Just a quick tease if the paint color on the front Panel ..

Now Time for getting some stuff installed and plan the loop ...

And this is Dexter my new helper and mascot thanks to MSI

The EK Vadar Fans installed

So to control the fans I am using this power distribution from mod my toys and dust has been removed bane of my life is dust also installed the pump/ res combo with the EK bracket.

With this being a sports car we did not need any extra weight that was not making it run cooler so I removed the HDD cage and put an extra 120mm rad in there :)

but I will have to swap them black extenders out for black nickel as they will niggle me even If I cannot see them I will know they are there :sigh:

held in with some Parvum cubes until I fabricate a plate for it

Made some new stickers for the Ram

So before I get to cutting and bending the loop this is about where we are at for now

I have decided to get some cables made by the master himself James from Pexon PCs as I have arthritis and the job takes so much time and pain it becomes impossible so I have to stick to fans and pumps and stuff that can be done in half hours for me and I am also putting in a panel around the motherboard and this will be laser etched but more on that when its done as not a lot I can show you it will be black and red.

That is where I leave you again while I get to work on the tube by for now folks :)

Looking very tidy indeed. Like what you've done to squeeze the extra radiator in there.

IMO having nickel-plated RAM/GPU blocks would really top it off.

Thank you yer the extra rad seemed more sense as I had it sat there and could not see myself using it

I went with the copper blocks as the block I had for the Titan Black was a copper one and I think it will blend well in to the red but we shall see over the next few days as the loop is the next update ;)

The next update

Hi again folks i have been a bit unwell for the last few weeks and progress has been slow but we now have a decent update to show you so 1st off here is the laser cut panel for around the motherboard thanks to E22 for the laser magic :)

quick shot of it with some light behind it

had to make a little adjustment as it was a bit tight against the PSU

To make this light up some metal had to be removed from the case

Fixed in some angled aluminum strips to hold the leds and allow the light to get where it needs to be

Made a bracket for the 120mm Rad at the back

Next up the cables from Pexon PCs just pure perfection best in the UK for sure

Perfect fit :)

I was snapped whilst working on the tubes after deciding to make some grey coolant but paint the tubes red to match the new front grill and as I wanted them to be a little different than just using pastel red as I did in this test run

Anyway the tube went to the paint shed

It will need another coat and some clear coat but this is more what I wanted :)

This is where we leave you again and I will return next week with more :)

Don't think I have ever seen anyone paint tube before - looks great! Guess you get all the benefits of the colour without the downsides of staining / colour fade from dye?

Great progress monty

thanks dude I am sure it has been done before I know painting copper tube happens a lot, for me on this one I needed to know that the tubes will be the same color as the front grill and and not be having to change coolants all the time so this was perfect choice :)

Hello people sorry about the long delay in the update just impossible to find the time to dedicate to forum's with the workload I have looking after my mum, the dogs and time for my daughter , whilst trying to earn a few quid from the client builds I am doing/done and the powder coating jobs etc. I have been working on this every week for a few hours and now we have some changes made and a complete PC so here is what has happened in pictures and some words but I think you will understand it ....

1st up I was not happy with the small details not matching on the motherboard , GPU and PSU ..

Took the block over to E22 and Nate etched this Porsche Badge into the Acetal

The Sexy Pexon PC's Cables with the Corsair HX850i GT3 edition :)

Next up is a pic of the rear of the PC which I painted in a dark grey and the same red I used for the Tubes etc ..

Had major rethink on the layout as I was not happy so I decided against the second rad as it was not really needed this 360 is ample for the i5 and Titan Black in the loop as the EK Vardar fans are excellent quality..

The SSD was given some detailing to match ^^

Here are a few shots of the PC in the dark with the MSI logo backlit with red LED

I decided to make some grey pastel coolant as with White, Emerald green and Red here in this pic I am happy with the match with the light grey in the braid ..

I popped her onto the desk last night and I think my table was made for this PC .. and as I have been using a test bench for the last few months it will be nice to have PC in case finished so after the next photo shoot I think I am using this rig for my gaming PC :)

i love it all the colours are so well used i very even
i would but 3m carbon fiber in the middle of the fan and the backs

I had toyed with the idea of covering them up but decided to leave the logo's on show just in case anyone did not know who made these awesome fans ;)

Wow that's really nice. Very good work! I really like the laser cut panel for around the motherboard.

looks good monty. :)

Looks great monty, it all matches so well, even the kb and chair fit the build!!

Nice build, like the openness, not covered in fans left right and centre. Good job.

thanks guys and yes It does match this desk and my set up well :) Happy with this build I am for once

Looks good mate. I just mixed up some grey for my build thinking it was pretty uncommon then read this thread.

Absolutely stunning! Attention to detail is impressive:)

Thank you and Yes the grey coolant is not seen enough 2015 year of more grey pastel coolant lets set the trend ;)

I am happy you noticed the little things I did not want to go over the top but try and keep it in the realm of the Car if that makes any sense

Hi again folks this is my last update with some finished pics of the build before it is packed away for the Insomnia 55 Lan in August.
Want to take the time again to thank EK Waterblocks , MSI , Corsair, E22 and Pexon PC's for the support and without them this would not of been possible.

I would like to mention how much fun this project has been for me and putting my work up against some talent guys makes what I have been doing for the past few years really worthwhile. Thank's for looking and I will see you all again soon with more of my work for those of you who are not fed up of me yet ;)
