Right so far I've completed aroud 7% and I have around 30K. Any particular car I should buy that will get be quite far in the game? Which cars have good tuning potential?

What races do you have left to win?

Formula GT is quite an undertaking, but if you win it, the Sauber C9 mercedes is yours! :D

I've found the jaguar xj220 race car is one of the best all rounders, as its got tons of grip and goes faster than 95% of cars.

The le mans bmw v12 is fasterthan the r8, and can see off the group C cars (sauber c9, nissan r92cp etc) which are probably the quickest cars in the game.

30k is not much to be getting on with, especially when you've got to buy the expensive cars to win the big races. I found the best car for tuning (all round, not total BHP, but driveable) is the Audi A4 touring car - you can get atound 800+ BHP from it, and my golly its quick.

EDIT: Bugger, thought you said 79%, not 7%. Disregard.

Best early car is something like a lancer evo, or scooby. Or a second hand r34 skyline 4wd is excellent. Can win many of the early races with those.

is that the cien ?

that was the car i used to get me through a lot of races

got it tuned to 974bhp and it does 290 mph on the big high speed oval !

:D :D

If you do one of the rallys I cant quite remember which one it is, I think its the very tight italian one (could be worng though) you win a toyota something or other than when sold is worth about 250k whihc means you can buy a decent car.

alternatively the HS tuned (?) Golf R32 is probably the best bang for buck car early on ingame.

My best money making tip: buy a Audi A4 touring car, then race the Deutche Touring Masters league, each race is only about 6 laps, you win easily and the winnings are 100k (iirc) plus a car worht 743k, which you can sell :)

get a cheap evo 3, do the 4wd races for a while, and do it up a little bit, and take the evo owners cup. (this is also good for rally courses which can win u some expensive cars)

or go RWD and grab a 200sx and tune abit to take the RWD cup, and the owners cup if they have one.

alternatively, grab a Type R and win the FWD cups and the civic owners cup (type r cup?) and get the Motul Racing Civic. this can be used with virtually no tune to do a few cups also.

you may have to do some beginners cups first with the above to earn a bit of cash to make them more competative in the tougher races. ideally you'd want to enter cars @ 100 A-spec points as a minimum to ensure the race isnt a walk away win, any more than 150 and u may find it a bit tougher unless your good on the corners.

then look for something

the Motul civic is good for easier rally cars due to the racing components it includes, and it makes agreat noise @ 9000rpm!

otherwise use a cheapo lightweight evo or something and fight them that way

If you do the first 2 special conditions i think, the rally d'capri and the rally d'umbria, you will win a cacillac Cien (800+bhp) and also a rally special toyota (which you can sell for £270k). Then just keep going back and winning the toyota and you can get yourself a nice little pot of cash quite quickly.

mm, but thats boring! its best to do it on a budget to test yourself, otherwise u can just walk every race. and whats the point in that? might as well not bother playing!

Yep, its the Capri rally. You win a Toyota Rally car.
