GT4 Saved Game data currupt ?

Hey guys,

Wonder if anyone can shed some light here...

Last night after winning my 3rd endurance race i decided to splash out on an expensive car as i was in the money. Didnt want to actually save the game with the new car so i removed the memory card (at the garage screen...ie ut was not currently saving / loading any data). I then proceded to buy the car but it asked me for my memory card... damn i thought.. but oh well i guess i have no choice to buy and save the car.. Inserted the memory card and bang the screen filled up with multiple rainbow lines.. basically your typical console crash.

Now GT4 will not boot up unless i remove the memory card!! Even if i let it boot then insert the card whilst in game it just locks the console up.

43% Completed aswell

Anyway this can be recovered ?

It does sound like your save game is corrupt I'm afraid

IIRC GT4 requires the memory card to be at all times. Even turning off the auto save feature still required it to be in (and then it still saved after you buy a car).

If you have a spare memory card you could try copying the file over to that maybe?

I was hoping for someone to say oh yes theres a peice of softwware that will repair it

oh well, guess ill start again after learning my lesson.
