Clearly haven't reached S Class
I pretty much only play PGR on my 360, and i have GT5 for the PS3, for all its fun and is a change, its not all that amazing, no grid stars so its always a huge game of catch up, online is...well...poor.
PGR is more fun over all but GT5 is a nice change.
If you have a PS3 i would recommend you pick it up seeing as its pretty cheap.

Yeah, to be fair this is true. Currently on A class but haven't played it for a week - got sick of doing the same races over and over.
I'm looking forward to the full game, and I do like it, I just think they picked some really dull tracks for the demo, but thats probably because I hate ovals, and mopst of the events in A class seem to be on them.
I still think Forza feels just a bit better though in terms of realism and physics, but I cant play it anyway due to a dead 360!
Is the general concensus that the full game wont be out until 2009?
Oh well, thought id give it another go, havent played the game since the day I bought it, as soon as I turned it on it said it needed another update, queue another 20 min wait while it does what it does.
Seariously, iv never known a console like the PS3, you buy the game, then have to waitng 20mins to install the damn thing, another 20mins to update the thing (if your lucky enough for it to update 1st time), its more hassle then my memories of PC gaming, I thought consoles were 'shove the disc in and play', well my 360 is anyway, and any patches on that take 5 secs to download and install. sorry rant over
Im stuck on 1 level on the 2nd class and its driving me potty, the one where you have to overtake everyone on 1 lap uisng the 04 Integra, I must have tried it 20 times and cant get higher then 5th. I must be doing something wrong, but for the life of me I cant think what, im trying to drive as smoothly as possible because GT punish's you if you drive to agressive, whch on some cars, liek the GTR really spoils the fun, you should be able to drift that like crazy, but as soon as you get it sideways it just murders your speed.
So come on guys, any tips for this level before the game gets put on the bay, it wont even let me try the S class untill its done, so stuck with the dull cars.

You need to use manual gears, it's the only way you'll do it. I just couldn't get enough speed using auto, even on a perfect run. Switching to manual you can leave it longer before changing up and pick up more speed in the process.
You also only need to get to 3rd to complete the challenge, not 1st as you mention

Yeh sorry I knew about the 3rd, its just that even when I sneaked 5th, 4th and 3rd were some way off.#

Pro physics if you dare, or standard if you can't quite get 1st. Manual gears and all aids off, traction control at 0. When changing gear with the Teg, do it at the end of the redline, it goes all the way up
Ok the race
Stay behind the first car and use the slipstream to fling past him. Keep the speed up into 6th gear as you go around the first banked bend, and as you exit that bend stay to the right, and pass 2 cars on their right, then duck left and overtake a few more before the next bend.
At the next bend take the corner on the inside, and you might have to barge a car that turns in on you a bit. But try to keep the speed up and bare to the middle/right side on the exit and slipstream up behind the dueling suzuki swift / 4 door thingy, going past them before the next bend.
Dive into the next bend but stay on the inside, and in 3rd gear, pass the c4 and as you go into the left turn (ending of the S-bend) either cut inside the golf or go around. But keep your speed up as you exit allowing to to get behind the delta integrale.
Take the next few cars on the middle of the track as it bares left, or just take them on their right between them and the wall (tight gap).
All done correctly you should be right up with the front 2 cars, or they just be into the final left hander. Either take them on this final left hander or slipstream them up to the finish line and win. Don't follow the braking line on this corner, you can go faster, and being in 4th throughout you can accelerate hard when 1/2 way through the corner, and use all space on the outside of the bend.
Did this race a lot to get up cash for my F430, so know it well
