GT5 could come to the pc

Fixed.

GT5:Prologue is not a finished representation of GT5, the online isn't finished and the damage model is completely missing. Wait a few months and see how the patches improve prologue before we can pass any judgment on the final game.

I know. But still... GRID is on the PC, GT5 is on the PS3, I have to faf about buying expensive PS3 games when I can just but a PC game which is so much easier the tweak it, much better.

I just find the PS3 a big mess about and you have to wait a life time untill you can play the game. GT5 will be good if it comes to the PC.

I don't think its fair to criticize GT5:Prologues price considering myself and many others bought it on release day for £15. The average pricing on release was around £20, it wasn't priced as a full game because it isn't one.

I know, but the full game will be like 50 quid.

Well, seeing as this post is saying it might be coming to the PC, then it'll be £25 like any other PC game and i'm sure people will jump at the chance to mod it up.

I'm just confused as to why you're criticizing GT5 for things that are inherent of consoles yet this thread is about it coming to the PC.

[EDIT] And also confused as to why you're passing judgement on a game that isn't anywhere near release yet (I know prologue is out, but it isn't at all a good representation of what GT5 will be like, as previously stated the online system is unfinished and damage isn't included yet, both very important elements)

no it wont

how can anybody compare grid to GT ? even GT1 is better than grid.
grid isnt a bad game...they achieved what they set out to do so its a success in its own way but comparing it to the GT series is a bit silly..

if success can be measured by number of sales(which it normally is) then nothing really comes close.....well im not sure abt forza which is probably the only game that really compares.

I never played GRID, however, I'm just thinking of all the other good racing games that the PC platform has (random order not preference):

GTR2
Race series
Richard Burns Rally
LFS
RFactor
Gran Prix 4

Those are just the sim games we then also have Dirt, GRID, Flaout, and Trackmania for our arcade needs. GT series games will have a hard time fitting between all these and not because I'm suggesting it's a bad game but simply because of all the well established racing franchises that we have on the PC platform.

yet we have nothing the likes of Gran Turismo....such a massive catalogue of cars with such attention to detail.

not everyone wants to drive the race cars which are featured repeatedly in games over and over....im not saying they are bad but its nice to have a change.
its good to drive your everyday road cars and see how they handle...maybe take your own family 4 door saloon and see how fast it can go round the Nurburgring...or maybe race against a mate around the Nurburgring , both using your own real life cars.

maybe even take cars which you have owned previously and race them against modern day cars or what you own now on Laguna Seca.

Vs a friend on the ring u driving a toyota corolla and him driving a lotus carlton....u might not have much chance of winning but the option will be there if thats what u want to do.

we have nothing that compares to GT on the pc

there is a good reason why it sells in the millions everytime.

I'm seeing that argument, but it's a sort of game that's somewhere in between arcade and simulator. PC crowd is mostly different to console crowd and I'm not sure it's going to catch up with us. Then again it is a common brand name it might do well with all those kids with their highstreet PCs.
