mods could we have a poll please with sugar on top
- 5 star
- 4 star
- 3 star
- 2 star
- 1 star
- pancake

5 star being best and 1 star lowest

wanted to know what you thought of this game? i have prologue and thought it was good but nothing that blew me away tbh, but what in the end killed it for me was
- terrible AI
- multiplayer was not a good experience -> nice that it's free, but too much lag, disconnects and game lobby was not very good
(PS my PS3 is connected via ethernet and connection is stable, so not BT's fault)

my questions is has GT5 improved on this or is it prologue with more cars, tracks and options to tune car? how is the rally, i always enjoyed those in previous GT games

i obviously vote pancake since i haven't played it

4, some things aren't perfect, it's missing tracks from GT4, AI could be better but I haven't tried multiplayer.

In other words, yes i'd buy the £60 collectors edition again.

i would give it a 3, Good enjoyable game driving feels great some things make you think how they couldn't have made it better with all the time spent making it such as the sound when you hit another car or the way the AI just stick to you and spin you out not even realizing you are there other than that its a fun game. :)

its a good laugh, but the horrible menus, awful shadows, its an unfinished product despite 6 years in the making, ai still as bad if not worse, and the fact that is doesnt redefine anything at all means its not really up there as a must have for me.

i heard of some nutters going out and getting 3-4 copies of the game. id say its only 'just' worth the one copy.

4.5, really love it.

PROS
Driving dynamics seem much more realistic than GT4.
Great selection of cars.
Detailed cars.
I much prefer graphics of GT5 over F12010/ NFS games.

CONS
Home menu is too busy and full, as someone mentioned before menus could have been much better.
Loading times. Dont bother me that much but wouldnt life be better without them.
More tracks required.

PS. not tried multiplayer yet. So looking forward to that!

3.5.

Nowhere near as good as I think it should have been considering the development time. Some of the graphics are absolutely shocking, such as the inconsistency between even standard models, let alone premium, or spectators and track detail (compare the Eiger track spectators to Toscana's for example), and this plus content has always been GTs selling point. Why are there such dramatic variations?

If it had come out a couple of years ago it would be a 4 or even 5, but IMO Forza 3 is actually superior apart from content.

So far, from me, a 4.

I've never really got into GT, having only played sporadically around friends on PS1/2. I bought into the hype of it really but I'm finding myself itching to play only 6 or so races in.

Some of the features are brilliant, like the photo travel - it just highlights the attention to detail. Its biggest flaw however is as Nismo says: it is very inconsistent. How can they make some things look so good, yet mess up the shadows?

I happen to like the menus which people seem to dislike, so the niggles are basically with issues that considering its development time, should not exist.

The thing I dont like generally about racing games is that they're too unforgiving however on the flip side so far I'm finding GT far too easy. I'm only on level 8 at the moment though so hoping it gets more challenging later on.

One thing that is a disappointment is the music, GT3 the last GT game I played had a great sound track, this one is rubbish in comparison.

Thinking about getting the new NFS game as that is getting great reviews across the board....

love it such a lot to do compared to other editions , but like others have mentioned i would like it to have more test tracks such as a high speed straight to test top speed?

wish they had the track that james may tested that car , where i think they were attempting to set a speed record in top gear?

4.5

4 stars for me.. I would say 3.5, but I think on some levels that would not be fair.

Some absolutely brilliant bits, some absolutely underwhelming bits, overall it's been very enjoyable, but so have many other driving games, and the list of things not in or half done is just far too much to excuse it completely..

It's not the 'sim' (in terms of PC racing sims) that I thought it would be (not sure if PD ever even hinted it would be, more the hype coming from the GT5 fanbase), but as a casual 'sim', it's got much promise, especially if they patch in all the glaring omissions.

I initially
