GT5 video

The level of difficulty against CPU cars looks very realistic. Even the EVO going off is very realistic. Forza should have been like this and not the Scaletrics game it is as well as being too easy.

It looks good yea and suspension shifting on that merc in front even looks realistic its just the hands on the steering wheel seem like he is driving the #59 bus to hartlepool or something :p Which kinda reflects for me how simplified this game is likely to be, still we shall see :)

Good video thanks Mr Latte, +10 points for you

Just want to hear the sounds off one now

Has the game been now comfirmed as 720p or 1080p like the Demo?

So far i mostly like what i see, jaggies from the shadows seen from in-car view look very poor though but i suppose its still at an early or unpolished stage.

16 player could be exciting even in AI battles but lets hope unlike Forza AI you dont really only have 2 cars that can actually offer any challenge.

Its 1080P 60 FPS, was quoted by PD in the video I posted in the other GT5 prologue thread. Also this is not GT5 its prologue the full game is nearly still a year away, so I expect a lot of things will be tidied up and reworked by then.

I doubt they will still manage 1080p/60fps by release. The PS3 is good but not that good. 720p/60fps is probably going to be the end result.

Yeah sorry just got to watch the video and its looking insanely pretty.

1080 res with 60 frames is amazing and as stated industry leading
16 cars is industry leading for a console too particulary online
This is EXACTLY what PS3 needed last year.

Finally something on PS3 that REALLY shows the capabilities of the console.
My only other hopes are that it uses 2xAA and the audio gets a make over with new audio effects and 7.1 PCM.

Watched this video round my mates house the other day and i gotta say i was totally blown away by it! And im a pretty hardcore Forza fan which i admit freely.

Now my concers primarily is that the physics/handling will be like the previous GT games which i thought were pretty rubbish. Hoever the dude in the video does say state that they had 2 different schools of thought when it came to the handling, e.g. some thought it was too difficult and others thought it wasn't realistic enough, with the end result being the player will have 2 choices in the phsyics. So hopefully the 'simulation' mode is much better this time round :D

Also anyone take note of the loading times? My they are fast

It looks sexy indeed.

Its one of the main reasons ill be getting a ps3

Just a shame there is no crash damage yet :(

I thought they might have damage when they said it will be made of replaceable components like the bumpers are changable, etc
It would then require another step up from that for the damage to be anything more then general or cosmetic

If GT:HD is anything to go by, it should be pretty damn good.

To be honest, im quite glad its not got damage as I found Forza online quite annoying as it regularly would just be one big destruction derby rather than a race. With any luck no damage will mean no purposeful ramming of people, or less of it anyways.

I played GT:HD briefly and thought it was pretty similiar to the original GT's? Will just have to ask to have a longer go :p One other thing aswell i do find the xbox360 pad's are nicer, especially for racing games, this is totally down to personal preference tho :)

On as side, can anyone confirm the price of PS3's in Hong Kong for me please? Getting my old man to pick one up for me whilst he's there on holiday. Last time i was there i saw them for around £260, just wondering if they gone down at all?

You can get the 20Gb one in Hong Kong still $445 (about £230) think the 60Gb is £50 more, theres been no price drop in Hong Kong but there was a cheap bundle deal with Hot Shots Golf 5, but got no info sorry.
