I'm planning to upgrade our PCs and convert my 5800x into an Ubuntu server. As it has no iGPU I'll need to add one, but I won't actually be running the UI for the most part as I'll just SSH on from other machines.

Is the 710 still a decent enough go-to "just let me in" GPU? I don't think it should hinder server performance as I won't be running any GUI apps? Primarily web servers and a few game servers.

Thought it should be fine... Apparently AMD is more stable on Linux, is it worth grabbing a cheap AMD instead? I'm planning to spend most of the time not even using video output though, so as long as it runs, I'm happy

RE: Stability with AMD Ryzens; providing you go for something on Linux Kernel 6.x and above then you should be fine (i.e. Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.x and so on).
