When will OCUK be getting the MSI GT72 2QE Dominator Pro-682UK?....ETA says overdue unlike the other two higher end models with an ETA of 12/12/14.

Hi there,

I was just wondering what the term "ETA: Overdue" means on the site, specifically for the MSI GT72 2QE (Dominator Pro)-805UK. I ordered the product a few days ago, seeing the eta was then 12/12/2014.

Im rather excited about this laptop as it is one of my first true endeavors into the high performance scene.

Best to post in the customer service forum if you want more specific info on your order. Overdue means that the stock has missed its ETA, but it could actually be in the warehouse waiting to be booked in for example.

Having ordered one of the above models I'm curious what the latest is on the expected arrival? Don't want to sound impatient but the wait with no news is driving me insane

OCUK should stop taking pre orders for manufacturers with less than reliable supply chains and agents of MSI should stop reinforcing falsehoods once a supply problem becomes apparent, it was clear on the 12th their was an issue and to continue to push pre orders and affirm pre Christmas delivery is misleading.

Don't tell me to post in the customer service section because I have spoken personally to each chain in this cluster**** and know the rhetoric I shall receive.

Am I hopeful for the now proposed delivery date of the 24th? Nope.

Yeah I agree it's not great we have to wait so long and the money already taken more than 2 weeks ago now, gutted I potentially won't have this for christmas now, hoping the new IPS screen model is worth the wait!?

To be honest, I was hoping to use the Christmas period to get used to the new system, get everything installed onto it and just generally enjoy my purchase.

Last I heard from customer support, the delivery would most likely be in the new year, though hearing what midas has said, could we get a Christmas miracle on the delivery?!

I've not been told christmas eve, last i heard was the staff member was waiting to hear back so I doubt it will turn up now till at least jan, totally gutted!

Unless my eyes deceive me or this is a quirk of the stock systems, they're in stock. If this really is the case, credit where credit is due, people have been working while I've been getting fat and drunk because I'm fairly sure this was not the case when I went to bed on the 24th/25th.

Edit: If I wasn't completely wasted and fearing a major hangover, I'd be tempted to cancel my delivery and drive the 4 hour round trip on the morrow...well, today.

They were in stock xmas eve morning. They ain't been dispatched yet. Guessing they will go out Monday and delivered tue. Fingers crossed

The stock status changed xmas eve. It was 3 30pm when I first checked and noticed it, the cut off for deliveries on the 29th was 3pm that day so theres half a chance they *might* turn up Monday.

It would be nice instead of having to guess what's going on someone from the shop could actually tell us whether they went out or not.

And I'm feeling the same way noname I could cancel the order and drive to Birmingham to pick one up.

REALLY not amused MSI/OCUK.

Wait wait wait...which model have you guys been waiting on? I plumped for one with the 4870 CPU. Had been waiting on the 4980 version since I heard about it some time in November. Had a serious talk with myself and decided £3000 was too much to spend on a laptop.

Also, Birmingham? Thought there was only one store in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Yes the 4870 version. I'm hoping the new IPS display is superior to the TN panel. Tue delivery by looks of it. Can't wait to get my hands on this beast. Hope it's worth the dosh

Yeah, I ordered before the IPS panel was announced. I know some people will think I'm mad but I actually wanted the TN display. Can always hook the thing up to an external monitor or TV for wide viewing angles and what not.

I just bought Stick of Truth in the Steam sale. That should keep me entertained until it arrives.
