GTA 3 in Unreal Engine 5 anyone?

It's a good starting point though surely. I mean previous to this we didn't really have this kind of showcase outside of GTA mod scene. I am hopeful at least anyway!

Effort involved in game dev :

1% The 'idea'
4% Making a trailer
95% Making the game

To be fair, in this case GTA III already exists. It's easy to extract all the models, textures, LOD data and mission scripts etc as those tools have existed for years. Still a fair effort to convert 1:1 into UE, but if they did that first then worked on beautification it could be done.

Saw your desk post, what game dev do you do? I've recently installed UE as I fancied a project. No delusions of grandeur however and already falling at the first hurdle for setting up a two-wheeled Chaos vehicle :D

I'm principal AI programmer for a Unreal work-for-hire studio atm, worked in AAA for years before.

The tricky bit with setting up chaos vehicles is getting the rig right, need to have the bones axis-aligned, one for the chassis, and one for each wheel.
