gta 4 help ?

Ive just installed this, it took me 2 hours as i had to sign up for a load of things ill never use, such as live gaming, rockstar social club etc.

I patched it to latest but have some issues.

up arrow brings out the cellphone as it should, but no button gets rid of the phone, such as down arrow (default).

Also inputting numbers (for cheat codes) doesnt work.

And there seems to be no way of actually getting out of the game other than ending its process in task manager???

Theres no exit menu anywhere, escape just brings up the options....

Could this be because the game, which i purchased from a large british based rainforest, says "to be sold in asia only" on the discs ? or am i missing something ?

on the phone, you have to push up twice to bypass the address book and enter phone numbers.

when you press ESC, do you get a "game" menu on the right? you have to go through that to quit.

'Backspace' is the cancel button on your phone, it will step-back through menus and puts the phone away when you get to the theme screen.
