GTA 5

GTA IV may 'look' all nice (like that matters) but the fact remains - there's sod all to do once endgame has been reached. That hugely annoyed me, so I was glad as hell that the L&D expansion addressed that superbly.

The PS3 version of GTA IV was the first game on console I've ever properly had to stop playing and abandoned because the framerate was too bad. It went to single figures during action, I swear.

Tbh I think they should stop making GTA games and start a new franchise, GTA IV whilst technically fantastic was a waste of time. I mean seriously: they make one of the nicest looking interactive open world cities ever and they want you to take your imaginary girlfriend to the cabaret and carry out missions which reset said world making the "free" aspect of it completely meaningless.

Such a waste.

Or the fact that you'd get called up mid-mission and asked if "you want to take Brucie to the show?"..if you decline (you had to if you were on a mission) you'd lose respect.

If you've played through the game a couple of times you'll see a lot of those look like they were scripted to happen, like Jacob calling up Niko when he's flying the chopper on that one mission, or driving that explosive truck. You shouldn't have lost respect since Niko basically auto-rejects those.

had gta4 on the ps3 the day it came out, played it 2 times and turned it off,san andreas i felt wiped the floor with it and i have not played it since;)

I'm 100% sure that mid-mission requests are automatically rejected and you don't lose any respect.

Car handling has been great in all gta games, gradually improving .

GTA III and VC were VERY arcady and like the cars were glued to the road, but enjoyable to drive.
SA introduced some over and understeer in some occasions, car weight (could no longer push cars that easily by walking against them :p) and nice wobbly suspension physics ( I loved the suspention in SA).
IV is another step up, making cars feel heavier, wobblier, and closer to what they're actually like. If you're flooring it and turning into a corner so hard that it's only barely keeping to the road, how can you expect it not to roll over to that side? You try getting into a big car perhaps a range rover or a Volvo V70 or so, and turn in as hard as you can @ high speed, the car is definitely going to tilt a lot... Cars in IV again have a bit more momentum, making blasting down the sidewalk running over hundreds of peds much more fun :).

The only thing I'm disappointed in in IV is the bike handling, feels too wobbly on the sports bikes, but that aside, imo car handling has been improving since every version since gta III.

I mean, go play vice city now, you can literally drive anywhere without ever releasing the throttle or using the normal brake, you just do handbrake turns everywhere while keeping it floored.
