GTA 6 leaks

Funny how I think about Rockstar games in the terms of how many years of live I realistically have left in me.

But like others, I'll most likely take a few days off to play

I just saw a reel on Instagram. It played Red from the RDR2 soundtrack, in particular the 7 months and 7 years lyric part. Added that to the original RDR2 release date.
Guess what date it comes up with?

I just can't see it. Microsoft / Sony should have directed R* to provide a 60fps bump on the release of the so-called nextgen consoles when they released but that ship has long since sailed. RDR2 or GTAIV will be pure cash grabs with minimal effort if past endeavours are anything to judge by.

Likewise, console producers should mandate that all games include an uncapped mode to stop this nonsense going forward. Fat chance though.

How do we think GTA Online is going to look when this comes out? I know its a year away and that GTAO rakes them in a load of money but they are still pumping content out for it. New DLC comes next week that has 3 new businesses to buy. I no longer play but feel like they are releasing these sort of expansions pretty regular.
Should the people working on these not be working on 6 instead? Will GTAO continue to be a complete standalone with no online world of 6 and they be two separate entities? Will they have a new version of GTO with some carry over of vehicles etc? Will it be a totally new experience?

Not sure even they can answer that yet - presumably so long as it carries on being a cash cow then they'll keep on running GTAO for GTAV and have a new one for VI, it's not like they're likely to immediately refuse more money.

At some point, presumably once GTAVI is established and maybe even VII too, it might no longer be worth running the online stuff for GTAV, but I doubt they're going to close it down right away.

Maybe they will join GTA5 and GTA6 online versions. Sort of making your illegal businesses spread to the GTA6 world, but will still need to use GTA5 world thus not making GTA5 obsolete. Dunno really.

Yeah having some link to be able to keep the cash or whatever accumulated would probably be useful, nice gesture to the dedicated customers/players who've already invested so much into it - I doubt they'd make GTAV a hard requirement to force it to not become obsolete though, they'll have new players etc.. too. It's more the other way around IMO, just let the market drive that aspect of it - there's demand from players for it, not all of them will immediately buy GTAVI etc.. or even if they do they may still want to play GTAV etc.. so as long as it's generating sufficient cash for them then keep it running.

I still jump in and out of GTAO, although I've not spent any money on it for a while. Most of my friends no longer play it, so tend not to spend too longer playing.

Incredibly hard to predict the future of GTAO. Im hoping its all new with a new economic system as the current one is out of whack. Can;t see them dismissing all their current players though given the revenue it must bring and the fact there are people paying a monthly sub. On the other hand if they expand it to include the new map then its just going to be the same thing, same griefers but bigger area and current vets having a massive leg up on new players. Having said that theres likely not going to be a big % of players entering the franchise for the first time so they may well just expand it.

I haven’t a clue tbh but doubt we'll see any GTAO changes for at least 12 months post release of 6.

Can’t wait for this. Going to pick up a PS5 as I've only ever played GTA on console. Would feel weird playing it on PC at my desk as opposed to chilling on my sofa.

That's exactly what I did for GTA5. Picked up an Xbox 360 at the time to play GTA and Forza.

I did buy a PS5 at the start of the year in preparation to the release this year lol

There were rumors that you will need a PS5 Pro to run it at its best settings, 60fps included! Though not sure how true those rumors are.

I reckon that's exactly what's going to happen to drive PS5 Pro sales!

I may pick up the Pro if any good deals come up and just sell my standard PS5.
