My money is before the new consoles launch, Just after they have sold as many PS3 and Xbox 360 versions as possible they will announce the next gen and Pc versions of the game.

It's a bit obvious tbh. It would not surprise me if this became a next gen launch title.

No doubt a release title for the next gen, I think we'll have to wait until after they get it for a PC release though.

Er, I quoted it. Have a look.

So you're saying that because I want to spend more time doing side missions and exploring the whole city instead of focusing on primary missions is ridiculous?

Only one ridiculous post here and that's yours :/

Not sure if trolling or just being weird but me doing side missions and exploring the game world does not mean I'm not playing the game. What a stupid thing to say.

Well, essentially you're doing exactly what Rockstar want you to do, and that's shell out for the same game twice. That just seems bizarre to me, but it's your money I guess. Whatever.

GTA is one of them games I can quite easily play through again after a year or so. The great thing about the PC is that by that time it'll probably have some good mods out for it as well, which gives another reason to play through again, along with the better gfx.

On console you can at least get some of your money back by selling the game. Then on PC its one of those games I would like to keep, so it doesn't matter that I can't sell it. Plus it'll no doubt be a lot cheaper by the time I do buy it on the PC.

Exactly^ :)

I was never intending on getting it for console but all those video leaks and screens were too much so for now I'll enjoy single player and multiplayer. I'll do some main missions to get places and items but other than that I will have a world of a time exploring and finding out cool things which I can revisit on PC in proper HD later.

IMO it's the best way to game and experience on multiple platforms this way and as Mark A says, with mods it becomes even better.

And remember a lot of the fun isnt just from the main missions but side missions and just exploring and trying out the cars and finding stunt locations to get on roofs with bikes (well i did in sa lol) and stuff.

You're missing my point somewhat. I'd rather experience the game in the best possible way from the start. The whole game, not part of it.

Seriously considering getting this for the PS3 now, don't know if I can wait 6-10 months after watching some gameplay!

Just worried my PS3 might be too old for it to run at its best, original 80GB fat, has trouble opening PS Store!

YOU would, that's great! Everyone enjoys games, particularly open world/sandbox games in their own way. Personally I've never finished a GTA, but I still play GTA4 and muck around for fun.

GTAV cost me the price of a decent curry, and I'll be playing it for years. And I'll get the PC version too, and probably not complete that either. It's my prerogative.

Yeah, and for him, that may be the best way to do it? Have you thought of that?
He wants to get used to the map and such, and then play the story line on his favourite platform. I seriously dont see the problem with his solution. If I hadnt sold my consoles, id do the same thing.

"Getting used to the map" is just him justifying buying the game twice. I'm not really bothered what he does actually. I just laugh when people complain about Rockstar's policy on PC releases, and then they go and buy the game on console because they're too impatient to wait.

I find it incredible how you can say he is saying that to "Justify his purchase" when you and him don't think alike. I dont have a problem with you voicing your opinion, but insulting others for what they think makes no sense.
I too am complaining for why Rockstar wont announce it for PC, but id still buy it for console because I can. ANd then id buy it for PC because thats my primary platform. You could call it impatience, but to be quite honest, its none of your business whether it is or isnt. Everyone gets impatient atleast once in their life, and for a game to receive so much hype, its completely understandable.

I would definatly play this all again on the PC. You can see just how gorgeous this game can be on the PC considering how beautiful the console version looks. Add in some sharper textures and some AA and it will look incredable.
