Then get it when it is released! It's not like it takes any time to buy a digital game nor are they going to run out of stock.

Cmon people, why are you supporting such a backwards business practise of paying for something you haven't even tried yet!

Publishers everywhere are thinking "Why make a decent game when a preorders will make you a profit before launch?"

Errr.... I pre ordered from Amazon. I haven't paid a penny?

It's certainly nowhere near as bad as digital preorders. But you might find yourself in a sticky situation where the game is dispatched before review NDA is lifted and then you have to jump through hoops to return it if it is bad. Or it arrives late...

You just tell Amazon you don't want it, stick a print out label on it and post it back.

Amazon is a breeze for returning anything. It'll take at most a few hours from release for TotalBiscuit to have a Port Report up.

Yeah the rain forest is brill for sending stuff back and replacing.

I pre-ordered mine a year ago, was only 25 quid back then, pre-ordering it so early means ya get it cheap :)

Why the **** are you preordering?

Have you learnt nothing from the last year of awful PC releases?

Grand Theft Auto V is not a ‘new’ game though. It has had a release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and only a couple of months ago on PlayStation 4 and Xbox 1. This is not a game of unknown quantity or quality.

Max Payne 3 was a good port on to PC. I am sure this will be too. For me, Grand Theft Auto IV ran well on my PC.

I understand the trepidation of ordering a ‘new’ game not having many reviews and previously released on another platform, however this is not the case.

Pre Ordering is always a risk if there is no review or prior release, it is also a good way of gaining access to collectors editions, bonus content or simply making sure you have a copy arrive on the day of release without the hassle of going out.

Is anyone else triple 'dipping'?

I will be picking this up on PC, already owning it on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Double dip for me, Had it on 360, Bloody horrible on there with all the stuttering in the FPS etc, Can't wait for PC going to be amazing.

I did not find the frame rate too distracting on the PlayStation 3. The bigger gripe I had was that I knew the game had the potential to look much better, it certainly does look significantly better on PlayStation 4, however the frame rate still has not improved to the same degree, not a huge problem for me personally though.

Nope PC Only for me been waiting a life time for this little gem :D

I think you are underplaying it as a ‘little gem’ that in my opinion, much like previous Grand Theft Auto games, remain the pinnacle of the gaming industry. Rockstar have again created a masterpiece. You will absolutely adore this game!

Same here. Just played the story then gave it to my brother to await the PC version.

Pop in was terrible on 360 for me. Had occasions where I crashed into cars on missions because they appeared in front of me.

I had it on the 360 and didn't notice any stuttering. Really enjoyed playing it. Looking forward to the PC release.
Got an Xbox One for Christmas but won't be getting it on that.

I'm not doubting the game will be good but more the quality of the port. Yeah Max Pain was a decent port but there's no point preording when I can buy on release day when I've got confirmation of a decent port and be playing within the hour. It's just a waste of money when you preorder a game that you can't play due to bugs and if that is the case buy the game once it's fixed for a cheaper price no doubt.

cant see the specs being that low, no way. Wait for something more official.

I'm guessing at around 3.5GHz Quad Core, and 280x/GTX770 for recommended.
