I just don't see why they would re confirm they official release date as Jan 27th and then delay further. Would be a big egg of the face moment if they did.

I predict the physical copies won't be steam at all, none of them. They will be one time activation and social club log in just like Max Payne 3. Whether or not the disc will need to be in the drive to play will remain to be seen but a little file download will sort that like it did for years before digital became mainstream.

I think people will have to be careful when buying keys online as some may end up getting a retail key instead of a steam key. Obviously through steam store you are guaranteed a steam key but with a big release like this chasing a cheap deal from a key seller may end in tears.

Personally I'm not bothered about the steam version right now as I want to see what happens with compatibility of mods after GTA 4.

3 ingame right now on Steam ;)

Rockstar also re-confirmed last weekend no delays to PC so I think its highly unlikely anymore delays logically if it was going to be delayed then they would not be QAing it right now would they the game would go back to development to see what needs fixing not QA a build which is going to be scrapped!

Games are QA tested on day 1 of development all the way to the last day so the logic doesn't make too much sense. There could be other delays as well if the rumours are true about Hiests launching day one on PC along with consoles, it could be they are having issues with that which is delaying the PC sign off period.

Isnt it a steamworks game?

I just find it strange that all these key sellers are saying its steam but Rockstar have not officially said if it's a steam works game yet. If the retail versions are not steam there is going to be a lot of non steam keys flying around the internet from sellers that buy retail versions, take the key and bin the rest.

We shall see.

To think that we'll be (finally) playing this, this time in two weeks time. Trying to stay positive (port done by the same team that did the MP3 port, which ran super smoothly at max settings, despite my more mid-range, and older PC).

That said, it is JUST 2 weeks (14 days, 336 hours, etc.), and I (and I know many others) still feel in the dark on some necessary definitive answers regarding the games upcoming launch.

Surely systems specs, steamworks woes, etc. will be revealed soon? I though it would definitely be today, seeing as it has most likely "gone gold" by his point.

I would love to see a big news blow out about the whole things, similar to what they did with the recent heists announcement; mod support, graphics settings, video editor, Social Club integration, systems specs, Steamworks (y/n), etc.

I am concerned that they haven't been hyping it, there's been no pre-release publicity at all and no indications of minimum/recommended specs direct from R*.

Could this mean that they will release anyway and the game will be very broken and buggy with a massive day one patch and subsequent GB's worth of patches to come?

Well **** me

Also recommended video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD7870 2GB - LOL WUT?

"few extra weeks".. um months don't they mean?
