The RAGE Engine has always been pretty crap, I had issues on the 360 with Midnight Club LA, and that was on a console. I hope V runs alright but I'm not holding my breath, I doubt any hardware out today could max it at 1080p+.

RAGE, or retarded autistic game engine, as I like to call it, will always be crap IMO.

Sounds more like a generic response. I don't doubt GTA V is coming for PC eventually but I think reading too much into things like this isn't going to lead to anything, so it's just a case of forgetting about it tbh, find other games to fill the time and it will come when it comes.

They are undoubtedly pre-rendered but hopefully PC will come close.

It looks great but it's mainly just clever lighting I think, the textures look hi-res but it's still aliased. When you see a game like Max Payne on the consoles, I can believe they've managed to get the very most out of the consoles.

I'd expect a game with that sort of graphics to run on high settings on my rig with an old quad core and HD5870.

Look at the road surface / terrain / the parking meter in the foreground. The textures are rough as guts.
The models do look excellent though.

It'll look superb on PC no doubt.

Low res on consoles yeah, it'll be high res if they bother with PC. Really ****ing me off how so many devs are ****ing the PC platform over, when it's by far the best. They should be making games for PC and dropping the quality for consoles, not the other way around. At least then games like GTA 4 would work on PC. After the catastrophe IV was, no wonder RDR never came out on PC. If GTA V doesn't, I'm gonna kick myself for buying Max Payne 3 and not pirating it.

Doesnt mean anything. Magazines will never tell the whole story. We all have to play it ourselves to see how it looks and feels.

We also dont know exactly what was demo'd ie, full game? just part of the map area loaded? a version where there is no cars or pedestrians on screen?

We do not know unless i missed them mentioning it?
