To be honest if you have the money for a PC the extra £10-£20 for a controller is nothing, so everyone with a PC should have one if they play games that need them!

GTA has always been far better with mouse/kb though? Having grown up on Doom then Quake I hate that stupid console auto aiming crap!

See I dont understand that. You cant aim a gun perfectly, twitch fast in the real world, using an analog stick is more realistic in my opinion.

uh...
skip into about a minute to see how that old guy aims.. if you seen anyone aim like that in spectator in a game you'd be bawling like a baby to your nearest admin.

LOL there are lots of similar videos posted way back when people complained about auto-aim he's the RL version.

I find auto aim crap though, as manual aim nets me far more headshots so you can be 4v1 and still win against all those auto-aimers.

It's GTA not Counter Strike....if anything I prefer auto-aim or target lock in GTA because it means I don't have to worry about the jerky 3rd person shooting mechanics.

Console GTA thread they're discussing the map and how much they're looking forward to the multiplayer etc.

PC GTA thread they're moaning about how consoles have no use at all.

*sigh*

Jesus, no.

I disagree, you can use controllers on a PC for games better optimised for Consoles.

Feel free to organise a Rock Band session in your living room with a full band set up (guitar, microphone, drums, keyboard) and then come back and tell me how it went.

Oh wait...... ;)

I'm not denying how great PCs are, or how much better they run the majority of games. However, if you think a PC does everything better, you're wrong.

So what you're saying is, it isn't true because some games (or in your example, one game) aren't on PC. Are you 100% sure there aren't peripherals that do the same on PC with wider choice in products and software?

I'm not arguing either side, just poking at your particular side.

It was just one particular example. I'm yet to see any game on the PC that can compare to Rock Band for a whole band experience. There are games like Rocksmith that do certain things better, but for a whole band experience? There is nothing on PC close to Rock Band.

I don't want to turn this into a PC vs Console debate though, they never end well. It was an off-the-cuff remark aiming for a laugh.

If we talk about the hardware alone (which is the only thing that matters), PC will always be above a closed system. On PC you can have the 1st iteration of a series that will blow you away and then the 2nd that will continue to build on that, that will be better not by just changing the setting (maps, storyline), CoD style, but by actually adding new gameplay mechanics, innovation, improving physics, controls, graphics, etc.

The fact that developers choose to limit themselves on consoles due to higher revenues, it's another topic altogether. That's the only face of "PC vs. Consoles" that truly matters.

Yeah but can he turn 360 degrees and do that, also whilst running and jumping and aiming at moving targets. I could probably aim as fast as that at static targets with a controller.
