I really hope this isn't my experience :/

GTA is *all* about the driving for me. The shooting is icing on the cake.

GTA with bad handling is not a game I want to play. Tell me, is it as bad as Sleeping Dogs? That game had the worst handling I've ever seen...
 
I'm really not sure what I want to do about GTA V. Either I buy it for
my PS3 like I did when IV came out and enjoy it on release like everyone else (and then get the PC version later), or just hold out for the PC/PS4 version and have a more enjoyable all-round first time experience playing it... I just get this gut feeling the next gen/PC versions are going to make the PS3/Xbox versions look like turd.

Haha, they had a 'GTA widow' on, saying what she wanted to do in the game.

"I wanted to drive somewhere nice, maybe read a book or go on a nice holiday [in the game]. It wouldn't let me! The car kept driving off the road, and people kept shooting at me. Ridiculous game!"

Damn cars, always driving off the road, totally not her fault... ;)

Isn't that pretty much what all female and old people drivers do in reality? Then they wonder why we shoot at them... :p

No, PS4 isn't backwards compatible. Like I said they wouldn't confirm a backwards compatible version as many people would just wait 2 month or so to play it on their PS4 instead.
 
It's likely that GTA V will be one of the supported titles when Gaikai supports Backwards Compatibility. They said it would be for the "best" of the PS3, so I imagine it would be included in that.

That won't make the game any better though will it, just basically streaming it from one device to another. Plus Gaikai is still a while off yet isn't it?

Well no, I wasn't saying that. But he was asking about PS4 Backwards Compatibility. Sadly it is still only slated for 2014 though :/
 
I think there'll be a PC release but no proper next gen release apart from Gaikai as mentioned but that's just streaming the current gen version.

I think R* would rather start development on a proper next gen GTA 6, which I can't comprehend how good they will be able to make it with the new consoles :D
