I like the idea that you can FPS and 3rd Person mode it, kind of hyrid of the two.

Picking up a hooker in FPS could be a problem lol

Getting this on pc, will play through fps all the way. Looks brilliant, I do hope its going to be optimised for us. Also sli/crossfire support would be good :)

Native 4K support for PC, it will almost certainly be optimised.

Isnt it funny, though, how we are all coiled up ready to throw our money at this game for a feature that has been around in games for a decade. (IE native 3rd and 1st person mode support).

It also begs the question of why wait till now to introduce what should have been a feature a long time ago?

I'm still gonna get it, but I just think it is an interesting situation :)

If you read the posted articles/interviews then you'd know the answer to this.

The reason it's only just been introduced is because the hardware capability wasn't there before. The game has been rebuilt with 1st person in mind, every car has a different interior, everything in 1st person is new, the textures are new and it's fully scalable with user defined resolutions.

Really? Are you talking about consoles? Surely the PC market has had the grunt to pull this kind of thing off for a good while......?

I really don't think top end machines will be needed, surely they've learned their mistakes from GTA IV and now that the architecture of this gens consoles is so close to PCs it will be a lot easier.

Please say, hoping my 7870 will play it!

Of course, but they're not going to make two seperate games. The only reason they're doing it this time round is because it's possible on consoles too.

Them consoles have a lot to answer for don't they? :p

In essence, though, I think it is more to do with making console users feel short changed. I think they could have done an FPS mode on the PC version a long time ago, but upsetting the customers which make up the largest part of your potential profit is not good business acumen :p

Ah well, its on its way now, so no harm done

Yep, 4k is still very niche.

This forum skews perception of how many people have 4k, but people who use an 'Overclockers' forum are inherently more likely to be earlier adopters of the latest tech.

Steam surveys give the best clue and 1080p is by far the most common resolution.

The best idea of how GTA V might perform would be to run Max Payne 3 at 4k. GTA V is obviously open world but they use the same graphics engine so you'll get a good idea.

Can you imagine custom mods for this. In car dashboards will be pimped out with headunits, LCD touchscreens and disco lights :D

Looks awesome. Just a shame we have to wait until January! Originally thought it was November release for PC, but this makes up for it. :p
