With a physical copy at least you know it's legit. Where did you get the cashback from?

I might pre order it.

Indeed. Topcashback and Quidco both have 5% on gamestop. £1.51 tracked pretty much instantly as well.

Cheapest I could find it for a guaranteed legit copy.

NO they are NOT. I know what STEAM keys are.

I read this on GTA forums as someone made a post about it and was also confirmed by a retailer.

CHECK this link

From what I can gather, all 3 of those are Steam keys.

Dr. Ron asked: Will this version of GTA V be a redeemable code on steam?

M C: Yes. All Digital download codes bought on Newegg are steam redeemable codes.

Rockstar will send Steam keys only to those sites listed here http://www.rockstargames.com/V/order. Others will send u a Cd key from box which only uses Social Club as DRM.

I was talking about the keys from g2a.com, there's a response by them as well which someone posted there where it says that it's not a steam key. I'm just trying to warn people that's all. Don't shoot the messenger.

Here's the screenshot from that member's post...

So, can you get GTAV on UK Steam?

I searched on Steam but nothing came up, then I found this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/

But it seems this is only for the US and not UK.

Im guessing any physical disc version you buy wont be a Steam version, it will be Rockstar Social Club like Max Payne 3.

EDIT: If GTA 4 and mods is anything to go by, the retail non Steam version was preferred for mod compatibility but I think that did change later on.
I still run my non Steam version GTA 4 with mods.

There is no UK steam?

Anyone can buy from the site it should be global.

Anyone else wondering if they will put dx12 in the game when its out later this year. I hope so as a leading dx12 title. Tbh I'm amazed they didn't push it back for dx12 as a launch title but glad its due soon as been dying to play it even tho im still unsure of the switching of the three leads in the story and too much teaming needed and the focus on heists style play.

Sites like G2A aren't advertising as Steam keys because Rockstar have only sent Steam keys to certain retailers. What G2A provides is the CD-key from a physical copy of the game. Whether or not these can be used with Steam remains to be seen, however I imagine that they would be able to.

Some say the physical copy will be Social Club and the steam keys will be steam + social club.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. I am not fussed either way to be honest. if anything just one DRM (social club) for the physical copy (if it is not steam) is better in my eyes.

http://www.pcgamer.com/rockstar-re-confirms-grand-theft-auto-v-launch-date/

"GTAV will be coming to PC on January 27th," Rockstar wrote. "We have not announced any changes to the date at this time."

The first sentence is pretty concrete. I think people are reading too much into the second sentence.

VERY UNLIKE PC GAMER TO POST AMBIGUOUS POSTS ABOUT TRENDING TOPICS.........

Really gone off PC gamer of late, 1st there was the wireless creative headset is the best gaming headset article......

Then there was the keyboard review where apparently a £70 razer keyboard is the best cheap membrane keyboard.....

Most of their reviews are completely bias to who ever sponsored them, and most of their facebook articles are click bait and argument starters. Content has gone downhill imo
