So it's not been confirmed boxed copy activates on Steam yet?

I've had a boxed copy of all GTA games but really want it on Steam. Trying not to preorder until it's clear.

Rockstar will still be using Social Club as their DRM so CD-Keys can be entered there, however unsure whether the game can be downloaded through Social Club.

However, for the sake of a mere £2, just order from Amazon or wait till its released to be sure.

I'd love to have Steam achievements (Max Payne 3 did despite not being Steamworks) because I like having all that stuff recorded in one place (my Steam library), but I'd have to be braindead to potentially pay £50 for that. £40 I could let slide, but that's still £10 more than GameStop.

The whole possible not a steam game has just thrown a bit of a spanner into the works for my order plans. I was going to pre order a physical copy, mainly due to my slow DL speeds but also so it could still be returned if the game turned out to run like utter crap. Might now just have to wait for release and then wait a further couple of days for the game to be delivered or download.

Is there new single player content online, or do you have to play it coop? Just looking at the video on the GTAV store page on steam and it looks like theres some new heists or something.

Think I might just order a physical copy and move the CD Drive over.

Question as the last CD Game I bought was Commandos 2, do you still have to have the disk inserted every time you play the game?

Well after all the confusion with keys, still not 100% sure so I guess I might just order an external drive and buy the physical copy. Thx for all the help guys.

And as for that article, I've got a GTX 770 :( With a 1440p monitor :'( Even if that article is fake, a 770 not being able to run highest at 60fps does sound pretty legit

Depends on what DRM/sales system they run it through. If it's steam then no (going by all of the more recent releases that I have bought physical copies of games for that run off steam).

I just don't want the faff of always having the CD in the PC.

Wish R* would release any sort of info about the DRM, Digital Keys and the specs.

They clearly like keeping us in suspense!

I own 20+ physical copies and have never come across one that requires the disc to play, so I think we should be alright

Cool, the last game like I said I bought a physical PC copy was in the last 90's so things may have changed :D

Going to go with a physcial copy anyway I think, pre-order from Amazon before the release date and you get £1,000,000 in game currency.
