Oh well, that's sad. But, as others have said. 8GB memory is what I've got... Maybe it's finally time to push for more? Seems a bit OTT.

I was just concerned at the ram side of things with wanting to play in 1440p.
 
If anything it's good they have delayed it so it doesn't fail on release like most Ubisoft games. We should be applauding Rockstar for the time and effort they are taking to make the PC version of the game perfect :)
 
they've not delayed it for polish lol. They delayed it back in October saying they needed 3 more months to add polish to the PC version. It's delayed because of PS4/XB1 money and online heists. Business is full of back handers, GTA and Rockstar are full of BS when it comes to it. Just look at how they've gone about feeding BS in the last weeks stating 100% that the release it still the 27th..this was only a few days ago. What all of a sudden someone was sitting there and thought, you know what, 2 weeks away, lets not release this and add more polish lol. It's blatant lies that's all. The game is finished, it's just being held back because of the console agreements plain and simple.
 
delay doesn't mean the game will be better, they will tell you the delay means polish because it's good PR. Why are so many people naive when it comes to games and delays. GTA IV was delayed
 
Meh, no biggie for me. Completed it on xbox 360, so its np to wait another 2 months. I think I would be a tad annoyed however, if I had waited all this time to play it on PC. Gives me an excuse as well to buy another SSD.
 
I'm feeling less buyers remorse about buying it on PS4 about 3 weeks ago... a PS4.

Edit- Just seen the specs too, which I'm taking with moutainous piles of salt. A 4870? Come on...

I think it's been delayed because they want heists to come out at the same time but it's not ready so they're holding it back to release them both together.

Should be ok to play at 1920x1080 :)

Hopefully get a bigger monitor, maybe a 4K screen.

Those screen shots look fantastic :).

And tbh, not sure if I will even "buy" it now, going to be pretty busy with other stuff from March onwards so not going to have much time to play games.

TBH, people should cancel their pre-orders, not just for this game but every game!


I guarantee you that if 80% of the people cancelled their PC orders right now, R* would quickly cancel that delay, at the end of the day, the number one priority for ANY company is money, they can make it out like they are putting the consumers first but they really aren't

Online heists yes, but I'm not sure what sort of 'console agreements' you think are in place. The game was bundled with PS3s and PS4s for a while but that's about it, there's absolutely nothing to suggest that MS and Sony have both put pressure on Rockstar two delay launch by a couple of months. It's not like it'd make a particularly big difference to them; the game has been out on their respective platforms for ages.
