Agreed which is why I don't anymore, but in this case I figure the console users have been the beta testers :)

The console users are the problem! It gets coded for them, and the port ends up being awful.

Each to their own, but I like to see a game released and reviewed by actual gamers before I buy. It doesn't hurt to wait a week.

I know I am picking holes but pre ordering video games is the cancer of the industry.

+1

I'm increasingly switching to a model of playing games a year or two behind, once the initial over-inflated price and pre-order nonsense is all over, they've milked the player-base repeatedly with tons of incremental little bits of DLC and then brought out the "Just slightly better and labelled as GOTY even though it actually wasn't GOTY - edition"... then maybe, maybe pick it up in the sale if it's still regarded as good

I seemed to have ended up this way. At the end of 2013 I pre ordered BF4 and bought into the early access of DayZ. Both were mistakes and like a functioning human being I learned from them.

I didn't buy into any pre release hype or pre order crap in 2014 and as a result I saved a ton of money, ended up buying a single indie game, caught up on a lot brilliant titles and don't dislike ubisoft.

So all the games I am playing at the moment are a couple of years old. This also has the benefit that I don't need to spend hundreds on new hardware.

R* have to make a comeback with this game.
Yeah, they're really struggling lately aren't they lol... ;)

I somehow doubt PC gamers are their priority. I'm willing to bet significant money that they have a bigger team working on GTA 6 right now than they've had developing GTA V for PC these past however many months. Probably half a dozen guys/gals in the basement on that job!

Last time it was the CPU which was bottle neck. The last console generation was slightly ahead of pc in some areas, the architecture was radically different to pc but neither is the case now afaik

I just hope they allow modding like how this pc gta now has lasted. I was optimistic last time that the multiplayer would make it amazing but didnt really find that, hopefully its good this time. I usually dislike the story lines tbh, vice city was the last good one :D

Lol, I meant from GTA 4.

That's true, it would have been out ages ago if it was one of their top priorities.

I am looking forward to this release so much that I am tempted to try and just work through any issues when its first released. I have actually made sure I don't play It on consoles either with friends.

I really hope it just "works" out the box.

Hoping as single 290 will handle this @ 60fps 1600 res. If not I'll just have to buy another couple with them being so cheap now. However wanted to wait to see the new generation cards first.

Hopefully my 7990 will be up to the job. Fine according to their recommended specs, but you never can tell!

I'm actually upgrading from my rather beefy as it is, 780 OC to a 980 OC card just to help run this at close to high settings at 1080p. I very much doubt the ultra settings will be easily attained.

I hope that's not the case :(

It's basically the one thing the PC version has over the next gen consoles, graphics aren't going to be that much better to be honest unless you're playing at 4k.

I've bought off CJS Keys before without issue, but I agree with Disco_P... stop pre-ordering games, it just encourages them to use us as Beta testers.

Sadly, I have to agree with this. I have stopped pre-ordering games because too many just do not work properly on release.

Seriously tempted by this one though! Especially when they've taken this long (getting it right, I hope).

I pre-ordered the Physical copy from Amazon, as many others have said. Even if it comes out ****, I still want to play it ;)
