Pre-ordering? It's like none of you remember the GTA IV launch.

I'll be giving it a couple of months after release before I even consider buying it.

Yeah, it was the same for Max Payne 3 also. Wasnt sure if they had changed this for GTA V and made it Steam compatible. Im a dinosaur and like disc versions of games. They look good on my collection shelf :p

It will be "Steam compatible" if you bought it through Steam or bought a Steam key. You'll download it through Steam, it will auto patch, people will see you're playing it etc, but there's no indication it's Steamworks.

I haven't had a single mail from GMG since ordering.
 
I have pre-ordered the steam key from CJS but now after reading a few more reviews I'm not so sure I can rely on them sending me a key before release!

Tempted to ask for a refund and just get it through Steam.

I cannot comment on CJS and preordered keys but they have never failed me when buying games already released, the key arrived immediately.

If it was a key from a retail box it would depend how quick they can open it up and scan in the keys before uploading the images but as for Steam keys, I have no idea. Depends how quick their keygenerator can work....ahem, I mean their email system ahem.... ;)
 
Kind of wish I ordered through steam and not nuuvem, don't care about steam really just hope they don't region lock the keys. I have a feeling at the end of the trailer that is being released next week will be a delay :(
 
I'm not really bothered about the pre-order bonus money but I'll end up buying through Steam simply because all my details are saved and it's £39.99 for something that will probably get played for 100's of hours.
