Hi all

I posted over on the monitor forum as I thought it was the monitor, after some investigation it seems it may be driver related or a Windows/setting issue.

I have the Samsung G7 27" monitor and the FE GTX 2070 Super and they are connected using DisplayPort cable. I have the latest drivers for the card and latest firmware for the monitor. Whenever I load Windows the resolution is wrong the the words/icons etc are huge and blurry. Eventually after about 2-3 mins the screen goes black and the resolution changes and everything is the right size, not blurry etc. Having looked into it, it appears that when Windows loads it is using the default windows graphics driver and not the Nvidia ones.

This has happened on Windows 10 and 11. Does anyone have any ideas how I make it use the Nvidia drivers?

Try disabling onboard graphics in the BIOS. If any updates were done before the problem arose try rolling back to a previous version. Think this is a sometimes common issue in regards to your problem.

If you've got another slot, try that. Just to see if it's driver/boot issue and not GPU. I'd also try another monitor or TV first, as well as a different cable to see if there's an awkward interaction going on.

Clutching straws here, maybe changing the GPU boot option, i think it's normally on auto, but CSM/UEFI can be choices too. Choose UEFI if that's possible. I don't know anything about what the Gigabyte BIOS looks like however.

You might find something in Google as i know i've read similar issues more than once in the past.
