Is an absolutely brilliant card! Honestly. To buck the trend of no-one posting up when something is actually good, not just when they have problems, this is a big two thumbs up from me for the aforementioned card.
Brought the standard 192SP Evga model. Clocks like an absolute demon, and above all has offered thus far in the following games,
Crysis
Crysis Warhead
FEAR
Stalker SOC
GRID
COD4
Half Life 2
An absolutely flawless very fast gaming experience. I brought this with the intention of going SLI, but unless i move upto a 30" screen i now very much doubt i'l bother.
As seen with my Far Cry 2 score here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17934446 It flys. Though perhaps more important to note, it has a higher minimum framerate than both similarly scoring 4870X2s. Circa 10FPS than the score directly below me.
Whilst just under 10FPS slower than my 8800GT SLI Warhead benchmark, the gameplay at the same settings appears equally as smooth. This could be attributed to microstutter, though im not normally one to notice such things.
General thoughts, the GTX260 is one VERY nicely presented card. I can't speak for the newer ATI's but this just feels expensive and well put together (Freakin HEAVY too), it's generally a very very nice package. The stock cooler sits at 40% idle and needs to ramp upto a whopping 43% to keep the temps in check in Furmark, even with the overclock used in the FC2 thread. So it's far from loud. At idle it's not quite as quiet as my 8800GT, but i've not bothered dropping the idle fan speed yet, and it certainly doesn't have to be on 40%.
It's not a new product and it's nothing revolutionary, but I think it's tossed aside far too easily in the wake of the 4870 on the pretense of benchmarks and nothing else, and with all the problems people are posting, it may well become a viable choice again.
So if you're in the market for a new GFX, or simply having problems with your 4870, give Nvidia a call, they may well be able to help YOU!

I just needed something with a little more VRAM.
) Just purchased a Force3D 4670 (for an HTPC) which ironically is the loudest, including a freekin 2900xt!!! How can such a tiny fan make so much noise?
It will sit at its gaming settings all the time.
